On tap. Pours black and opaque with a small, creamy light brown head. A little smoky to the nose - not exactly what I’d expect from a Cognac barreled beer - and then some hard roast. Rich and full body, a little low in carbonatio, sweet roast and then fairly rustic woody accents. Warming alcohol finish. Nice but far from outstanding and not soft and smooth as I would’ve expected considering the barrel. 200412

Draught at "Stora öl - små bryggerier" festival in Malmö
Black color, oily. Excellent aroma and flavor of chocolate, rich; there is also a light alcohol smell and a mild boozy feeling; roasted malts, with moderate residual sweetness. Very good.

Cask, småbryggeriernas beer festival, Malmö. What a nose! Close to perfection. Chocolte, honey, cognac in excesses. Smooth in the mouth, filled with chocolate, sweet but a little bitterness and wel roasted malts balances well together with the cognac tones. A fantastic beer.

An excellent IS once again ! So smooth, so silky at all ! Chocolate, malts, wood, alcohol and a little bit cognac sense in aroma! Taste quite the same! Long aftertaste with hints of cognac and wood! As the beer becomes warner and warmer the sense of cognac is starting to be stronger in aroma and aftertaste, too!! Great beer !!

Chocolate roasty aroma with hints of wood and cognac. Black in color with a brown head. Thick, sweet chocolatey...it coats the mouth with pleasant wood and cognac flavors on top of the base beer. Quite sweet, but still excellent! On tap Borefts ’10

Probably the best brew I’ve ever had. tatse is very complex; the aging in cognac barrels adds sweetness to a fairly bitter Imperial stout. The lenght of the taste is amazing and crushes everything you might have had before. Smell is amazing with a very wide variety of things, such as wood, alcohol, malts, hops ( bitter and aromactic ), macerated fruits....
