4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Entered as my rating no. 3100. On tap at Borefts Festival 2010. It pours pitch black with a tan creamy head. The aroma is oak, chocolate, coffee, roast, light smoke and lighter notes of dark fruit. The flavour is roast, warming alcohol, chocolate, coffee and tobacco. Creamy texture. Long roasted finish. Nice and complex.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ BBF ’10. Dark color, medium brown head. Great Kaggen aroma with some grapes and cognac added. Quite sharpish cognac in taste, bit too sharp for my taste. I prefer the full bodied flavors of the original Kaggen.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap at 2nd BBF @ De Molen. The cognac takes off the sharp edges of the normal stormaktsporter but it still retains most of the amazing flavor. Slightly harsh still but extremely full bodied and loads of flavors. Amazing brew. Lucky us to have had half a keg at the afterparty.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted at Närke brewery. This is a great new addition to the kaggen Stormaksporter family. Black as night, of course. This beer is rich and has a great nose of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla with a hint of cognac and touch of apple from the barrel most likely. Thick creamy, body with well integrated hops and a nice coffee undertone and a long finish. Very delicious.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2010 Tap at De Molen beerfestival. Nice sweet coffee smell, looks pitch black, should have some more head. Taste is some sourness, coffee and fruit, the hint of the cognac is there for sure. This beer kicks in pretty hard, loved it, especially the smell was almost insane.
