Draught @ Borefts 12. Pitch black colour with a small light brown head. Smells chocolate, roasty, coffee, sweet, wood. Tastes quite strong, brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, very roasty, whiskey, wood. Quite hars on the throat, very warming, low carbo, oily.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2012 Draught @ Borefts 12. Pitch black, opaque color, small light brown head. Smell malts, roasted malts, alcohol, cognac. Taste malts, roasted malts, alcohol, cognac, a hint of wood, lightly bitter. Lovely finish. Medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Bottle at Akkurat. Opaque black liquid with minimal tan head. Aroma of licorice, cognac, oak, chocolate, tobacco (snus), biscuit and some light leather. Nicely complex. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of chocolate, licorice, biscuit and cognac. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation and very velvety liquid. Delicious.

The beer is black with a small tan head. A touch of booze up front on the aroma followed by heavy roasted malt, a touch of smoke, and dark chocolate. Moderate cognac along with vanilla sweetness and a hint of caramel. The flavor is a touch bitter at first with heavy dark chocolate, roasted malt, and cocoa powder. Sweet cognac, oak, and vanilla balance this out, as does some caramel and molasses.

Black with a brown head - roasted malt aroma with some wine/conac notes - malty taste with some licorice and roasted malt bitterness - long malt ending - this was very good and warming

Pours thick and black with a big tan head. Nose is heavy booze, raisins, vanilla, smoke and wood. Taste is bitter smoke with a big amount of sweet to balance. Amazingly smooth mouthfeel, soft, big heavy body and a long drawn out finish. Amazing beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Haandfestival 2012. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is cognac, roasted malt, licorice, chocolate. Flavour is cognac, roasted malt, licorice, coffee, chocolate. Full body. Very nice beer.

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. A good looking beer, black, and topped by a small, firm, tan head. Booze, roasted malts, licorice, chocolate notes and some prunes on the palate. It’s full-bodied, warming and soft on the palate, with flavors of licorice, roasted malts, booze, bitterness and some faint burnt notes. A little citrus peel hint as well. Lasting finish with roasted malts and a good bitterness. Pure, lasting joy. 120504

Rating 1700. Bottle @ Akkurat, still have the bottle on display. Black pour with some brown head. Dark malts, light fruit, licorice, wood, cognac, sweetness and some balancing stronger flavors. Very nice barrel aged brew. Wish we could get some narke more often.

Bottle at Akkurat, Sthlm 110929. Black beer with a brown head. Tar, licorice, smokey, dark chocolate aroma. Smokey, tar dark chocolate and licorice flavour. This is love in a bottle :-)
