3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (5568) - Montreal, Quebec, - NOV 16, 2012In short: A harsh roasted boozy stout. Just a decent sipper.
How: Small bottle (250ml?) at Akkurat, Stockholm.
The look: Black body topped by a medium tan head with medium retention.
In long: First, this is truly a beautiful small bottle, one of the nicest bottle small bottle I have ever seen. Now let’s talk about the content of the bottle. Nose is boozy, very roasted, a light smoky sensation and also quite sweet. Smells like some kind of burnt alcoholised dessert. Taste is rich chocolaty, some burnt raisin pie, a shot of hard liquor, burnt cereals, burnt coconut, burnt dark grapes, weird meaty notes, a bit too much alcohol bite for a 9.6% impy stout. Full body with lots of small hard bubbles. I can’t say I really tasted Cognac per say, I didn’t even tasted barrels, this beer was like someone poured a shot of hard liquor (whisky, rum or some other liquor) in a perfectly fine impy stout. This is a decent beer but this Konjak version is by far the least interesting version of this beer I’ve had so far. I found all other versions (regular, kaggen, Swedish Oak) to be highly drinkable and I found the Konjaks to be rough around the edges, a little bottle was enough for me. Rarity hype? I was disappointed. When I ordered this rare top-rated beer I was super happy at first but then it felt like I was just slapped in the face, just like the day I was super happy to find $100 in an old pair of pants and then I was just slapped in the face because somebody was still wearing them.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mcberko (4056) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 29, 2013
Vintage 2010. 250mL bottle at Akkurat, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of cognac upfront, deep dark dried fruits, and some light roasted malt. Flavour brings out complex notes of cognac upfront, deep dark fruits and deep roasted malt. Highly complex, with the cognac highly situated in the flavour profile, though well accentuated. I prefer the regular Stormaktsporter but this is highly complex and enjoyable.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ungstrup (26267) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 22, 2013
Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of smoke, roasted malt, cognac, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, smoke, roasted malt, chocolate, and cognac, leading to a dry, roasted, and alcoholic finish.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Vestergaard (107) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - APR 18, 2013
@ borefts beer festival 2012. Old rating. It goes: Thick, beautiful black with a dark brown head. One of the easiest 5s in appearance yet. Licorice, roast, lots of barrel. Got lots of sweetness from the cognac. Soft, but still quite lively. Really really good! What a mouthful!

26/III/13 - 25cl bottle @ De Hopduvel (Gent) - brewed: 1/III/10 - bottled: 1/XII/10 (2013-268) Thanks to Bobochamp for sharing the bottle!
clear dark brown beer, supposedly a small dark brown head, but my pour was flat. Aroma: sweet, caramel, cognac, bit sugary, vanilla, alcohol, very woody, bit earthy, cocoa powder, more alcohol. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body, bit oily mouth feel. Taste: bit sourish first, caramel, quite some cognac, mocha, coffee, slightly sweet, earthy. Aftertaste: sourish touch, pretty bitter and hoppy, tobacco, mocha and coffee, touch of caramel, woody (oak?), some dark forest fruits.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Thorpe429 (4844) - , Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2013
Thanks to Brad for sharing. Served alongside regular and Kaggen Stormaktsporter. Nose is fairly heavy on the cognac with a bit of roast and chocolate. Slight boozy and a medium body.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Huhzubendah (1980) - Washington DC, USA - APR 5, 2013
Served in a Hair of the Dog snifter.
Acquired via large trade with Mike. A lot of generosity in the beer community.
The beer is dark brown with a few random brown bubbles. There was actually a hiss upon wrestling off the screw top. The aroma is fabulous. Molasses and caramel, booze and candy, a touch of sweetness but by no means cloying. Fabulous flavor. Hype aside this beer is actually delicious. 29% abv is masked extremely well. Of course, this beer is 19 years old. So mellow and smooth. No carbonation. Like a fine after dinner cordial. Chocolate and port wine with rich molasses. Similar in some regards to Samuel Adams MMM. World class. What an experience.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 BoBoChamp (4186) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAR 25, 2013
25cl, at 9%Vol, new exclusive Swedish brew Anno 2010, thx alot to kraddel!, very complex Stout, roasted/woody and slightly spicy/vinous, not too heavy, very balanced, hazy, good head, top class!, yet slightly less refined than the Kaggen
4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 alethol (47) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 27, 2013

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 stoutpark (14) - ITALY - JAN 13, 2013
In bottle @Machesietevenutiafa
VISUAL: Dark and obscure brown color with a beige head.
AROMA: Raosted malt, coffee and wood. Well balanced notes of oak and cognac which gives a special sense to this beer. Final touch of fruity at the end.
TASTE: starting with a medium sweet of the malts and continuing with a long lasting bitterness.
I literary loved this version of stormaktsporter hope i will have the chance to try it again.
