Probably the best brew I’ve ever had. tatse is very complex; the aging in cognac barrels adds sweetness to a fairly bitter Imperial stout. The lenght of the taste is amazing and crushes everything you might have had before. Smell is amazing with a very wide variety of things, such as wood, alcohol, malts, hops ( bitter and aromactic ), macerated fruits....

Bottle at Akkurat, Stockhom. Pours black with dark tan head. Aroma of cognac, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Flavor matching with a super smooth mouth-feel. Near perfect beer. (Rate offline 2011/04/21)

Black with a big dark brown dense dark brown head. If the scale for appearance went to 100, it’d still get full points. Aroma is quite sweet, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and cognac. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish. Smooth and oily. 090711

Tap at Borefts Beer Fest 2012. This was obviously my first beer I tried at the Fest. Literally walked in and asked where the Narke booth was so I could grab a glass of this black beauty. Pour was pitch black with small brown top and lacing. Aromas hit you immediately as you get your nose in the glass, notes of cognac, vintage wood, coffee, cocoa, bitter hops, roasted malts and other spiced grains. Taste was just as incredible with coffee, wood, vanilla, oak, caramel and crusty malts, One of the easiest going stouts I have ever tried in my life, so smooth and layered with an oily palate and smooth finish. World Class.

On tap @ 2nd BBF. The aroma has coffee, chocolate, tobacco/ash, cognac. Black coloured beer with a lasting, beige head. The taste is truely wonderfull; A great match of cognac and oak combined with the superb Kaggen. Think this is the best special barrel aged Kaggen I had so far.
