Draught. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Fantastic nice peated spicey aroma. Wonderfull powerfull smoked flavor. Long finish. Creamy palate. Very nice smoked.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma of peat, smoke, caramel malt, and some bready notes. Flavour is full of smoky, peaty malt, some slightly sweet caramel malt, and bready malt. Quite smoky and full of peaty caramel notes. Not so impressive.

Pours hazy mahogany color with a small head. Aroma of strong peat, caramel, malts and some ripe fruits. Flavour of sweetish fruits, ripe berries, peat and caramel malts. Decent. Strong with the peat on this one.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a hazy copper colour with a white head. Aroma of caramel, grass, strong peat and smoke. Flavour of caramel, smoke, yeast, raisins and grass. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel and a warming, peaty, malty finish. Heavy.

Deep gold pour. A huge thanks to JW for the share pre-huna. Amazing to drink these in the US! Really super smokey, some light fruity esthers, caramel. Almost a hint of apple. Fun beer to drink.

As always with Närke it’s very good indeed. The smokiness is more Single malt than smoked wurst. Small head, smokey yet fresh nose. Nice sweetness to it.

Clear medium red orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, smoke, peated. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20120928]

Sampled at the CCB/RateBeer/Pre-Hunah Tasting (Tampa, FL). Pours a nice brownish amber hue, oranghe glow, touch of glow with gentle offwhite head atop, dies to a film, laces small. Aromas are richer peat, smoked wood, offering peat, wood, campfire. Rich woody smoke, gentle cherrywood, faint red fruit, bready malts. Peaty aromas envelope, offer power, some iodine and seaweed. Initial is medium bodied, offering richer smoke, peat, earth, and twigs. Woody smoke, gentle cherrywood, smoked seaweed, iodine, and salt. Some bready malts,touch sweeter. Dry and roasty smoke backend is dry, peaty. Very interesting beer. Nose is intense, beer itself is a touch less with a great smoked peaty flavor. Quite nice.

@BBF12. Pours copper with a whiet head. Aroma is caramel, peated smoke and fruity yeast. Flavour is caramel, peated smoke, fruity yeast, sweet and light pine.

Hazy copper color, tan head. Smoke, peat, campfire taste. Wood, peat, smoke aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, peat, smoke scent.
I’d personally probably like it better with the "Gotländsk rökmalt" than the peaty whisky malt.
