Draught at EBF. Poured pitch black with an espresso brown head. Chocolate, dark malts, coffee, toffee and some cheese in aroma. Flavour is very complex qith sweet malts, cocoa, coffee, caramel and it ends up sweet and powerfull. Brilliant.

Nov 28, 2008 (Bottle, 2007 vintage, at Pikkulintu on 2008-11-07) Black. Small tan coloured head. Vanilla, roasted malts and hint of coffee in nose. Full bodied and dry palate with little carbonation. Vanilla, coffee, roastedness, bitterness and liquorice in taste. Long lasting bitter and roasty aftertaste.

Nov 19, 2008 250ml Bottle (Svenska Dagar 2008 @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki) - Black in colour with a tan head. Chocolatey aroma with liquorice also featuring. Rich tasting with coffee, plain chocolate and roasted malt. One to sip and savour.

Oct 30, 2008 Updated: Oct 31, 2008Bottle at Pikkulintu. Very dark brown with little head. Nose is complex with touches of soy sauce. Flavor is even more complex. Roasted malts, alcoholic warmness, malty sweetness, chocolate, coffee - everything notable and nicely balanced.

Oct 26, 2008 EBF2008. Dark, black, perhaps a note of brown. Has a light brown head, mostly lasting. Looks good. Aroma is black too, chocolate, coffee, milky-soft and pleasent. Flavor is heavy sweet, syrup texture. Long duration. Warming alcohol.

Oct 25, 2008 Draft - Black body, light brown head; Very good chocolate nose, deep malts and fresh green hop aromas; Soft textured body, big carbonation, a little slightly fruit bite; Huge finish, some alcohol biting, malt fill shines, lots of fruits. Great beer!
