‘Gansett’s limited-edition Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout, a unique collaboration between two iconic Rhode Island companies, is set to hit shelves in just 2 weeks. A custom blend of Narragansett’s bittersweet milk stout with dark, delicious Autocrat Coffee makes for a delightful beer that is more Rhode Island than Roger Williams himself. Since the 1890’s, Narragansett Beer and Autocrat Coffee have been home-grown Rhode Island favorites. With more than 100 years of shared heritage, the two local legends joined forces to celebrate the art of craft brewing and bring New England an emblematic brew that pays homage to their history. The full-bodied milk stout is enriched with the robust flavor of Autocrat Coffee to achieve an extraordinary taste experience. Brewed under the supervision of award-winning Brewmaster Sean Larkin, Narragansett’s Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout delivers a flavorful, smooth, dark brew with notes of roasted barley, chocolate malt and rich crystal malt. The exacting touch of hops provides just the right amount of bitterness to balance the sweet notes of the malts and milk sugar.

Can while watching football. Dark brown color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with a roasty coffee and malt character, with chocolate in the background. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste.

Nice dark, near-black pour with a finger of mocha head. Aroma is the best part for me - excellent balance of roasted malt, coffee and sweet lactose. That sweetness doesn’t come through as much in the flavor - this actually leans a little more bitter with a black-coffee finish that lingers dry. A little over-carbonated for me. Not bad by any means, but I do enjoy the sweetness of milk stouts to be more pronounced.

Nice coffee aroma from a thick head. Bittersweet chocolate with trace of vanilla in the mouth; medium body. A little dry for a sweet stout but still pretty good. Think coffee stout light and a nice change of pace from Imperial this and Double that. $8.99 for a sixer of tall boys is great bargain.

Interesting. Not what you are used to. Bitter coffee taste. Not a lot of sweet. Slight sour and funk, but the bitter kicks you. Coffee is very strong. Dark brown. Can

16 ounce can. Pours a dark brown color with a nice rock tan head with clinging lace. Roasted malt nose with notes of cocoa and coffee. The flavor is more roasted malt, coffee and cocoa. Smooth and silky with notes of smoke and dark dried cherries. Very nicely done. Very drinkable.

Tap at Taphouse Grille. Dark dense looking pour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet lactose, bordering on slightly sour actually. Weird. But not bad. Very soft roast, mild coffee, and more sweetness on taste.

Pours a very dark opaque brown color with khaki colored head. Roasted malt, chocolate, and roasted coffee on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with coffee.

16 oz. can from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC. Very dark brown pour with a frothy khaki head. Aroma of strong roasted coffee and mild chocolate. The taste features the coffee but shares the stage with the chocolate and lactose. Faint floral hops are also noted. The end result is very nicely done coffee milk stout.

Wow had no expectations for this but it was very true to style, albeit a little light. Good malting and a powdered milk finish.
