COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
‘Gansett’s limited-edition Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout, a unique collaboration between two iconic Rhode Island companies, is set to hit shelves in just 2 weeks. A custom blend of Narragansett’s bittersweet milk stout with dark, delicious Autocrat Coffee makes for a delightful beer that is more Rhode Island than Roger Williams himself. Since the 1890’s, Narragansett Beer and Autocrat Coffee have been home-grown Rhode Island favorites. With more than 100 years of shared heritage, the two local legends joined forces to celebrate the art of craft brewing and bring New England an emblematic brew that pays homage to their history. The full-bodied milk stout is enriched with the robust flavor of Autocrat Coffee to achieve an extraordinary taste experience. Brewed under the supervision of award-winning Brewmaster Sean Larkin, Narragansett’s Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout delivers a flavorful, smooth, dark brew with notes of roasted barley, chocolate malt and rich crystal malt. The exacting touch of hops provides just the right amount of bitterness to balance the sweet notes of the malts and milk sugar.

16 oz can - Pours dark with a creamy with some lacing. Strong coffee aroma. A little aqueous, like a watery coffee.

Can from Capone’s. Pours hazy dark with tan head that laces all over your wife’s face. Nose is HUGE coffee grounds, jalapeno oils, dark malt. Tastes of coffee grounds, bitterness, more bitterness. This one sucks Tom Brady’s balls.

Sampled at Superstar Beverage in Huntington. Pours a murky black with lots of creamy, brown head. Nose is fairly sweet, some brown sugar, caramel, brewed coffee, mild malt, mild molasses, a little crackery. Flavor follows right along, mild sweetness, just a little bit of chocolate, fresh brewed coffee, malt, a little roasty bitterness. Clean finish. You expect this to be cloying or perhaps thick, but it isn’t. Fairly drinkable.

Clean and dark pour with some burnt wood brown on the edges and two fingers of creamy dark tan head. Clean aroma with roasty notes and some coffee and muted papery dark malt. Smells and tastes a little bit better than I thought it would. Papery and lightly oxidized dark malt flavor. Some brown sugar and dark fruit. Medium bodied.

Can on the train during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours rich brown with a huge, frothy tan head. The nose has light roasted dark malts, light raisins, ash and metal. Light-medium sweet flavor with dark bread, further ash, cocoa, dark fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish with still more ashy roast, burnt leaves. So so.

Good combination of coffee and stout, says it's from the RI area which is close as I'm at the Mohegan Sun Casino November 2014. Rich and dark like a Guinness but with the coffee taste to it too, very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at shamrock. Pours a jet black with light khaki head. Roasted coffee and grain aroma, light hint of cream or vanilla and hazelnut. Taste is balanced between the coffee and milk stout. Flavors of coffee burnt grain caramel hazelnut and graham cracker. Well balanced but not exceptional even after a whole glass.

Dark brown color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with a roasty coffee and malt character, with chocolate in the background. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 16 oz tall boy can. Oily black pour, very thick khaki colored head, nice thick lacing. Nice lactic notes in the aroma, some vanilla and licorice as well. Flavor has some chalkiness, a bit of potting soil, and instant coffee rather than espresso. Thick and chalky moutheel. Fairly decent.

Pours like Bunker C crude, nougatty tan head. OK can. Nice roasty aroma with some toasted soy nuts. Generally smooth and fresh, a little earthy, but not particularly tasty or complex. Lightly sweet, low bittering, much lighter tasting than it looks. Light coffee on the top of the tongue, leaves you with coffee breath. New Leaf Market.
