‘Gansett’s limited-edition Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout, a unique collaboration between two iconic Rhode Island companies, is set to hit shelves in just 2 weeks. A custom blend of Narragansett’s bittersweet milk stout with dark, delicious Autocrat Coffee makes for a delightful beer that is more Rhode Island than Roger Williams himself. Since the 1890’s, Narragansett Beer and Autocrat Coffee have been home-grown Rhode Island favorites. With more than 100 years of shared heritage, the two local legends joined forces to celebrate the art of craft brewing and bring New England an emblematic brew that pays homage to their history. The full-bodied milk stout is enriched with the robust flavor of Autocrat Coffee to achieve an extraordinary taste experience. Brewed under the supervision of award-winning Brewmaster Sean Larkin, Narragansett’s Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout delivers a flavorful, smooth, dark brew with notes of roasted barley, chocolate malt and rich crystal malt. The exacting touch of hops provides just the right amount of bitterness to balance the sweet notes of the malts and milk sugar.

Can. Pours dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and roasted coffee. Flavor of roasted coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malts, cocoa and earthiness.

Pours a rich dark brown from a can. Aroma of coffee, flavor of somewhat watery coffee maybe a bit of chocolate. Somehow it comes together: I feel this is better than the typical sweet stout. Good beer.

Aroma coffee, chocolate, roasty, Appearance brown, black, tan foam, Taste medium sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate light body, thin feel, Overall this is coffee all the way. My only complaint would be how thin the mouth feel is. I would suggest this beer to a friend.

Pint can. Nose nothing but coffee, smooth roast, touch milk. Pours deep, dark brown with a huge and dense light brown head. Taste dry and roasty, getting into some nice black burnt/scorched notes and not just gentle toastiness; thin body, even a touch watery, but there’s evident malt there still. Very mild background fruitiness. Light-mild bitterness, but just great dryness (thankfully not overdone lactose). Touch milky, very mild chocolate, but great coffee and roast tones; it’s very coffee-like and adult, and I like this more than the vast majority of stouts - really fits what I’m looking for. This is really well done. The balance and different tastes and contributors is right on. Was glad to have it while seeing friends checking in stouts all day today. Dark, clear, slight reddish highlight. Thick foam, thick retention. Very sweet nose with caramel. Sharp gritty palate, then sweetens.

Aroma - has got it all. Cereal, chocolate, coffee, nuts, toast, and roast. Just loaded. It’s all malt here. If there are hops in here you wouldn’t know in the nose. Appearance - dark brown, so dark it’s comes off as black. The lucious head is beige and about 2 1/2" high, very tight bubbles. Very nice. The lacing is also sexual in nature. Taste - big and bold tastes. Carmalized sugar, svelte roast profile, and some chocolate Palate - medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, the finish instantly drops. Abrupt for sure

Can while watching football. Dark brown color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with a roasty coffee and malt character, with chocolate in the background. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste.
