3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tommy8768 (120) - Litlle Compton, Rhode Island, USA - MAY 8, 2007UPDATED: MAY 9, 2007 Not retired anymore! Nice dark brown color with a so-so head. Nice smooth malty taste with a slight hop bitterness. I dont remember anything of the old Narry days except for the swill that Falstaff brewed in the 80s. This stuff is really good. I think its actually brewed by Cottrell in CT(the ones who brew Old Yankee Ale). Whatever, I will definitely get it again.

Can. Pours a decent cheddar orange with a nose of wet autumn leaves and weak caramel. Flavor is wet autumn leaves, stale bisuit, and light rose. Average mouthfeel. Disgusting.

A wonderfully malty brew by Cottrell/Gansett. It is a nice medium amber color with good carbonation and sweet nutty aromas. Flavor is very malty - choc, caramel. Medium body. Roasty-sweet finish. Well made.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 BavariaYeti (14) - Wiesenbronn, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2010
I enjoy this local on tap. A good presentation of a style that I’m not fully enamored with, but I enjoy on occasion. It’s a darker bock with a lower alcohol content of many the bock standards, certainly the doppels... It has a solid malty sweet taste to it with low carbonation and little hop bite. I like it and will continue to drink it from the draught.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 puboflyons (1429) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 21, 2008
From a 355 ml. bottle marked 04020934B1. It poured mahogany brown with a beige head. Decent lacing. A powerful aroma of malts and yeast. Not watered down. I would describe it as medium mouthfeel. Flavor is slightly bitter but also quite yeasty. Bolder than I would have imagined. It is above and beyond the typical Narragansett product. You be the judge of whether that is saying much.

Pours a four finger light tan head that fades slowly and leaves some lace. Cloudy amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Molasses nose. Flavor is burnt molasses/caramel, seems a little thin for a bock. $1.55 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

bottle. loved the inscription inside the cap. "Orr to Sanderson, back to Orr, He Scores!" This is a great bock beer. I’m glad to see Narragansett back on the selves. Very flavorful.
