2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet, grassy, cereal lager aroma, with just a bit of dark syrup or caramel. Pretty good looking green can, however the ram reminds me of my 6th grade English teacher. Clear, orange beer with a slightly tan head. Pretty hoppy, tinny on the lips, woody bitterness, medium-light sweetness. Medium mouthfeel, German hops in the finish -- I’m going to dock the palate rating for the tin on the lips and for a bit of cloying hops, but only just slightly. Overall, this is a solid buy at $4.99 for 4 tall boys. Nothing fancy. Thanks to PorterPounder for holding one back and swapping out for my surplus brews during the FSU/NC State basketball game at Momo’s.

Can. Saw this at the bar and thought I’d give it a try. Bad decision. The flavor was not like any beer I’ve had before, and I mean that in a bad way. I’m not sure how to describe it- maybe it was like rotting grain.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The aroma is fairly hoppy with grassy and citrusy hops. There is also sweet malts and yeast. The appearance is light amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma and has a slight buttery quality. The palate is smooth but not thick. Overall a decent beer with no glaring faults but nothing spectacular.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
16oz. Can (at 6.5%ABV per the can).: Aroma of malt, diacetyl, caramel, and a hint of chocolate. Poured amber in color with a small, loose, off-white head that diminished but became dense and creamy. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, nuts, caramel, diacetyl, and a hint of chocolate. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, slightly bitter, malt, caramel, diacetyl finish.

Beer tasting #800! Nice smooth bock beer with a creamy aftertaste. Pours golden with an equally creamy head. Malt character is mild, but evident.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
2/5/12. 16oz can. Clear light amber pour with a small khaki head that fades but laces plenty. Weird aroma that is sweet and a little malty but has a distinct aroma of vegetables - stir fry vegetables in particular. Plain flavor of caramel, metal, more veggies, and a touch of lingering roast. Blehby.

Pours a caramel color with a white head and lacing. Smells and tastes gross sweet, but I don’t hate it.

16 oz. can out of a 6 pack from Market Basket. New labeling with bright green can. Eye catcher for sure. Poured a dirty brown with some amber hues. Light lace in a mug. Nose of nuts, chocolate and dark malts. Tastes follow the aroma’s with a bit of mustiness. Just the right amount of bitterness in the finish. Medium body provides easy drinking. Good value for an average Bock.
