Narragansett Brewing Co. was founded in 1890 by six German immigrants with a passion for European-style lagers and ales. Throughout our proud history, lager beers have remained our signature style. We are pleased to offer you this Bohemian-style pilsner, a craft-brewed tribute to the original lager. Our Bohemian Pilsner delivers an enjoyable malt profile with flavorful, aromatic hop characterisitics from Nothern Brewer and Hallertau hops.

From an old note (pretty sure on tap at Proof): yellow-gold pour. aroma is grain cereal, little corn. tastes are sweet malt, fruity, herbal. Light bitterness. 6.2

From the one pint can. It pours a typical pale yellow color with a big, fizzy white head. The aroma is of grains, some light malts, and clean, crisp hops. Everything here reminds me of a traditional pilsener. Light to refreshing body. I wish it were summer! The taste has a modest grainy and malty character up front and then a clean, crisp hop finish. It is a pilsener through and through.

pours from can a very pale yellow clear color, very mild aroma. fairly easy on the palate has a hoppy flavour with maybe some corn or yeast notes. feels like med to high carbonation and slightly bitter after taste. decent beer can be refreshing but i would prefer their fest lager over this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear golden yellow on tap with minimal head and very little lace. Aroma is bready grain and lager yeast. Taste follows, not bad for a pils.

Currently enjoying the last of a recently purchased 6-pack of 16 oz. tall boys while hoping that this isn’t just a seasonal beer for Narragansett as I’d like to purchase another in the near future. Best I can say is that it does a good job of meeting the Commercial Description set forth by the brewer. Easy drinking with the taste I’d expect from this type of Pilsner. Despite its 5.2% ABV, it drinks in many ways like a session beer. Narragansett has a winner with this one.

Light crisp pine aroma. Healthy foam two finger head that lingers. Lager like yellow color with a tinge of orange. Light bitterness with a light sour middle. Has a somewhat clean finish. Drinkable and I do like very much. Not complex and is light enough to be had in generous amounts.

Can at World of Beer in Land O Lakes. Pours a clear, golden yellow color with a billowing head at first that is short lived. Good bands of lacing along the glass. Aroma has malty corn notes and not much else. The flavor is fairly sweet and fruity at first. Some bitterness in the finish but not as much as I expected. Not bad, but not great either.

This beer falls between the big brewery American pilsners and the craft pilsners in terms of flavor. Honestly, it is as close to a tasting like a true Czech pilsner as I have tasted outside of the Czech Republic. The aroma and and bitterness are right. The beer is lacking head, but what lacing it leaves sticks to the glass. It is darker in color than a Budweiser and more bitter, but not nearly as bitter as American pilsners being made by US craft brewers. $9 for 6 tallboys isn’t a terrible deal. Is it worth spending more than Budwieser? Or worth spending a little more for something a little tastier? I’ll have another and decide later.

Draft at GABF 2013. Straight shot of butter, DMS / vegetables / sourkraut, concrete mix and makeup. Medium-low bitterness, high acid and medium sweetness. Burnt corn and deisel fumes, sharply acidic and solvent-like with game / swine / sweat notes, husky grains and fizzy carbonation.
