3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a large bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a straw-amber color with a thick and hazy appearance below an off-white creamy head with good retention and excellent cling and lacing. The beer had an aroma featuring floral and spicy tones along with some barley and yeast. Its taste was pretty bitter and grainy with only a slight sweet-sour character at the end. The body was creamy and thick with a drying effect and strong carbonation and life.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Samís, Durham. Thanks for the tip, Jeff! Canít argue with the price, though the beer (not even a style Iím mad for) wasnít exactly a mind-blower. Cloudy yellow pour, could easily pass for a non-"Private Stock" brew. But a decently hoppy nose, noble hops appropriately loaded in, with some yeasty, tangy, malty elements as well. Underwhelming mouthfeel, but the taste is reasonably grassy and satisfying. Booze well hidden, nicely hopped, not a bad try (especially for the price).

Bottle from Appalachian Vintner. Pours golden with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. Kind of grainy on the tongue with a slight bit of hop flavor on the finish. Finishes clean. Solid but not spectacular.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I paid $2.99 for a bomber, so I already feel pretty good about this. Its best described by what its not - Itís not boozy, its not overly sweet, it doesnít a slick gooey palate. Its a nice clean lager with some crisp grassy hops and crackery malt base. Not bad.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz. bottle from Julioís in MA. Narragansett shows its versatility in terms of products once again with this higher-powered pilsener. Neither malt nor hops dominates the taste but seem to blend together well to produce a floral yet somewhat bitter taste. Normal carbonation. The higher ABV is well disguised in the taste. Iíd like to see this one in a 12 or 16 oz. package as a regular part of their product line.
