3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Grabbed a sixer of this for $6, can’t beat that deal! Poured the final can into a glass for review.
Pours a slightly hazy straw gold. A nice finger-width of white froth sits on top. Decent lace left behind after each sip. The aroma is grassy, slightly floral and sweet, hay, lemon. Good carbonation. Not too thin, but definitely an easy one to quaff. Grassy hops make up the bulk of the flavor, but there is a slight buttery creaminess that smooths the edges out. Mild bready aftertaste. This was what I expected it to be, a nice refreshing tasty ale. I really enjoy what these guys put out.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
16 ounce can from Bark’s Beer Cave. Aroma is fruity, floral, and with light vegetal notes. Transparent golden body with a medium, fairly strong white head present. Starts with some corny DMS flavors. Becomes a little metallic and a little sweet in the middle. Finishes with some fusel alcohol flavors and a light, grassy bitterness.

2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not a great example of the style. Too light. Despite the brewers description of more hops, I could not taste a note of bitter.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Did this one a few years back when I went to the States. Poured a clean light golden colour with a creamy white head, long lasting and with decent lace. Very mild malt nose. Not really creamy though, just mildly dry. Stronger taste with some malt and a little bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and malty, but seems like a regular beer (macro).

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden straw under an impressively large fluffy white head which fades into a solid layer while leaving lace in its wake.
Creamy sweetness up front with fresh white breads and rolls in the back of the Italian and French variety. Faint touch of green grass underneath.
Soft bready mouthfeel matched by a soft bready middle. Dry grassy finish in the back. Sweet cereal grains and sweet rolls on top.
Not too shabby at all for a cream ale. Of the dozen or so cream ales I’ve tried over the years, the Narragansett Cream Ale is the best so far. Sweet and creamy yet balanced by a dry bitterness. I’d drink it again.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tried this at an outside beer tasting on a 75 degree night. That said, after going through several IPA’s and hopped up lagers this tasted supriseing good. Not a huge fan of Gansett but poured golden, clear with a white head. Mild hop, crisp taste. If you have non craft friends this would be a great cross over.
