2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Location: Draft at UCB, 8/30/14
Aroma: Sweet lemonade nose, some tart lemony notes, sugar, and a little cereal malt
Appearance: Pours a clear golden-orange color with a small head and fairly mild lacing
Flavor: The taste is sweet, lots of lemon and sugar, with some balancing tart notes as well
Palate: The body is light, it is easy drinking, crisp, clean, and refreshing on the mouth
Iím not a huge Shandy fan, but as far as they go, this one was just fine, but thereís isnít much differentiating this one as excellent or anything. You could certainly do worse if you are looking for something refreshing. Ultimately though, it is too sweet, and too one-dimensional.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear yellow with a lot of stark white, rapidly dissipating head. Strong citrus nose full of lemon zest. Some malt in the flavor, but generally the lemon flavor stands out the most. Iím not the biggest fan of the style, but itís an alright shandy for what it gives you.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled at the End of History tasting. Aroma of lemon squares, lemon jelly, biscuit, and perfume. Pours blond with decent fizz and slight lacing. Taste is dead on lemon squares, lemon water ice, powdered sugar, and stale bread finish. Dependable shandy: worst of both worlds.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint can. Had this one this one after sitting on the hot beach for a few hours. Poured a golden color with a smaller sized head. Citrus/lemons. I thought this was a good choice to quench my beach thirst - time and place definitely raised my rating ...

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from can to glass. Straw hue with fizzy white head that dissipated. Aroma is lemon, straw, sulphur, resin. Mouthfeel is refreshing with a medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a tart following and clean finish. Overall this is an odd, but refreshing brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Straight from the can at the beach. Mild lemon aromas. Lemonade with mild beer mouthfeel. Not unpleasant, but not something I need to have again either. Better than a hard lemonade as it is not cloyingly sweet.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Clear gold with little head. Aroma and taste are pretty much lemonade. Not much else going on. Thin smooth mouthfeel. Similar but not as sweet as the Leinenkugel.
