COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hi Neighbor! Great-Grandfather DeLucia made his first frozen lemonade back in Italy in 1840. During the winter he carried snow into nearby caves and insulated it with straw. When summer arrived, he mixed the snow with fresh, local lemon juice and sugar, making a refreshing drink. His grandson, Angelo, introduced this icy treat to Rhode Island in 1948, and today there are over 30 Delís stands across America. íGansett is proud to present this delicious Shandy with the perfect balance of Narragansett Lager and lemon flavor. Itís refreshingly different!

Pint can. Had this one this one after sitting on the hot beach for a few hours. Poured a golden color with a smaller sized head. Citrus/lemons. I thought this was a good choice to quench my beach thirst - time and place definitely raised my rating ...

Can thanks to Jow at End of History tasting. Pours yellow white head. Nose/taste of lemonade, light sugared wheat and lemon squares. Light bodied.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 16 oz Nathanís Hot Dogís looking tall boy can. Slightly hazy medium golden pour, tight white bubbly head. Aroma has some artificial lemon candy-like aroma. Flavor is pretty much all lemon, slightly natural, a bit of tartness. Hint of metal in the back end. Mouthfeel is crisp. Refreshing to say the least.

Straight from the can at the beach. Mild lemon aromas. Lemonade with mild beer mouthfeel. Not unpleasant, but not something I need to have again either. Better than a hard lemonade as it is not cloyingly sweet.

Fresh, non-beer lemonade aroma. Bright tallboy, very pale, clear brew without much head. Cereal and light lemon up front, moderately sweet, fairly tart. Medium-light body. OK, not great. New Leaf Market.

Big can in a teku. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma a nice blend of lemonade and light beer. Flavor the same. Average texture. A solid shandy.

16oz Can. BYOB with a bean burrito. I drank this and it surprised me. Itís really not all that terrible and a decent shandy, in that it really tastes like lemonade mixed with beer, not some wretched thing where beer was brewed with some of the ingredients. Some of the hop flavor is incongruous with the Delís, but the zippy, tart lemon sweetness gives it balance and drinkability. I much prefer it to straight íGansett. Definitely needs to be cold and it definitely needs to be hot outside.

Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a finger of white foam. Nose is pure lemon oil with a hint of grain underneath. The palate follows but has more balance than the nose. Kind of watery, some definite lemon is backed by some clean lager flavors but nothing to exciting. Easy to drink just a bit underwhelming. Actually wouldnít mind a bit more lemon kick in the palate.
