3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Some lacing with light retention. Smells of sweet malt, floral and grass. Tastes of sweet malt, slight hops and vegetables. Very smooth and clean. Very, very slight bitterness in the end. Sweet all the way through. Great for a macro lager.

Nearly clear yellow. No real body, but pretty refreshing. Creamy head, possibly from the journey. Pretty flavorful lager. Thanks Erin for helping me finally tick off Rhode Island.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2014 "Made on Honor, Sold On Merit"? WTF? Nothing like Blatz: "Made With Cheapness....Sold with alacrity!" So there you have it. I went to school in Rochester and not once tasted one of these little gems. For that, I feel shame. Or not. So keep the "Nasties" on hand for your neighbors & pushy clergymen. Keep the "good stuff" aka Blatz for yourself. Trust me, I’ve been to Milwaukee, so I ought to know. And if you cant trust me, really who can you trust?

Exactly what you are looking for in this type of beer. Finishes far cleaner than many of the other competitors.

A: Clear Golden Straw Hue, Passes All Light, White Head Ring, No Lacing S: Sweet Corn, Biscuits T: Sweet Corn, Cascade Hops, Light Biscuits M: Average Carbonation, Light Bodied, Lightly Sweet Overall, the carbonation could have been better but the beer is okay, nothing flashy for the style but nothing overly impressive either.

16oz tallboy can into a pint glass.
Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a white, fluffy two finger head. Surprisingly good head retention and lacing with huge globs on the sides of the glass.
Aroma has a slight metallic note along with some floral, grassy hops and corn. Low on DMS which is nice and it really smells pretty good.
Cooked corn, hay, and grass in the taste with a bit of DMS. Mouthfeel is heavier than I was expecting and is a little bit sweet and sticky which, in my mind, limits drinkability somewhat. Very light bitterness.
Overall, this is not a great beer but it is a better than average AAL. Has more flavor than most and is easy-drinking. I would pick this up on occassion if it were available to me.

So this was the beer of the Red Sox? No wonder I’m a Yankees fan. A more bitter version of Natural Light at best. Drinkable, but not a go-to.
