2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Typical old school North American Lager. Smells like...old bar beer -- there’s a surprise. Yellow/gold, big white foamy head. Not bad. Would appeal to the old 1950’s PBR, Carling, etc. drinkers. Suits Capt. Quint in "Jaws".

Really nice light beer. It is smooth and refreshing. One of my favorites. Light in color and aroma.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours clear gold, barely any head. Aroma is straw, rust, hay, farm. Flavor is sweet bready malt, grain, light stank. Fairly lame pale lager, but heavy steez from the marketing revamp of recent years.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a golden yellow color-clear with aroma of grain and corn. Okay flavor with grain, corn, and some yeast. Not great, but better than Budweiser.

About what you’d expect for the style. It’s better than Budweiser/Miller/Coors, but that’s really the best I can say about it.

Aroma of corn and hay. Taste and palate has some yeastiness to it with a distinct grain bite somewhat akin to the cream ale style. It’s a pretty decent lager beer! Overall for an American adjunct lager ’Gansett has a decent taste and does not taste like the BMC crowd.

Can. Colour...pale-gold with a thin white head. Nose...husky, lightly malty and faintly hoppy. Palate...fairly frothy with cut corn, dried grass and Timothy hay. The finish is fairly clean and slightly sweet.

Looks like the first piss in the morning. Tastes like apples and corn. Served this at my wedding at my father’s request.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a golden color with minimal head. Minimal aroma of sweet almost floral aroma but not from any hops. Not much flavor at all but not offensive and it finishes dry. Can’t detect any hops except a touch on the aftertaste. Not awful for a cheap beer.

12 ounce bottle. Honey gold color. Large creamy white head. Grainy metallic nose. Upfront flavor mirrors the aroma with a touch of floral hops. This is the atypical independent American lager, much like Rolling Rock used to be. Light bodied and refreshing. Good for when your planning to throw back several on a warm afternoon or evening. Nothing fancy, just a decent value priced light lager.
