COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our light beer to the same high standards that our founders established way back in 1890. It’s no surprise that ’Gansett has been the beer of choice around here for more than a century. If you’re not drinking Narragansett, you’re not from New England.

From the 16 fl. oz. can marked 1891-0017. It pours straw yellow with a short-lived fizzy white head. On the nose there are grains, malts, corn, and a hint of hops which is typical for the style. The body is thin. The taste has a noticeable grainy but sweetish character and a clean, crisp hop ending. A light beer is a light beer is a light beer. No better or no worse than its counterparts.

Light corn and malt aroma. Yellow with a hint of gold color. Head quickly dissipates. Mild bitterness with a hint of sourness. Hard detect an actual flavor. Has a clean and bubbly finish.

Poured from a 12oz. can into a pint glass. The color is a light yellow/gold with a slight finger of foamy white head that is gone quickly after the pour. The smell was muted and hard to find with small hints at corn and what may have been a little crystal malt aroma in the far background The taste was pretty light as expected. More light malt flavor that hangs there in the back like a curtain dividing things up a bit. There was some watery corn or rice flavor then slight sting of bitterness comes out after crossing the line into the hop part of the flavor at the end The feel of this beer is light and crisp with a dry finish. It is pretty drinkable and goes down easy with little effort. This makes for a good summer time beer.

16oz can, purchased at Wakefield Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Clean, plain aroma of light malt. Flavors are clean! Woohoo! Light, seltzery malt flavors give this a "Cincinnati-style" sensation. This may be the best pale lager I’ve ever had, as it’s fresh, clean, super drinkable, and has enough flavor to not make me think I’m drinking water. I prefer this to the normal Narragansett Lager. This may become a summer fall back.

Pale, pale yellow with a thin clingy head. Fair can. Smells like beer. Flat and watery, stale malt flavor. Thin and slightly musty. Virtually no bittering. Not offensive, just not much of a brew. New Leaf Market.

St. Petersburg, Fl - Rollin’ Oats Health Food Store - 16 oz can. Dull, light gold pour, bubbly white head. Grainy and wet paper bag aroma. Dull lager flavor with some hints of metal. Thinnish mouthfeel, kind of oily..

Bottle. Watery yellow pour with a thin fizzy white head. Aroma of corn and stale malt. Thin taste of corn, stale wheat with a slight hop finish. Disapointed since the lager isn’t too shabby.
