An attractive dark Amber brew with a slight pinkish tint and a medium tan head. Has a strawberry scent, but not an overwhelming sweet jelly type strawberry, more subtle. Malt scent also noticeable under the fruit. Quite fizzy, similar to a slightly burnt piece of toast with butter and a dab of strawberry jam. An interesting take on a fruit beer but this and Tendo’s Grape just don’t work for me. I’d much prefer a tart Cherry Kriek!

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2011 (Bottle with cherry blossoms on the label- need to verifiy). Hair of the dog morning after BeerFest Daisen. Filmy lime-gold with a slim fine head. Delicate slightly shrubby hop aroma with a hint of cherry stone. Gentle condition, hint of wine gum, lemonade custard cream maltiness. Somewhere between a macro lager and a kolsch shandy. Bit insipid but with hints of herbal hop aroma and grassy Germanic notes.
