UPDATED: MAY 21, 2006 Can... Clear, straw-colored lager with a creamy, white head. Good retention. Peppery aroma. Thin, watery flavor. Perfectly-balanced like all the light-bodied American macros... although this probably doesn’t qualify as more than a "regional" as I think it may be marketed only in the area of its origin (Baltimore metro area). Either way, it’s more like seltzer water than a true, all-malt lager. Short, crisp, clean finish. I’ll never have another, unless, like today, my choices are strictly Miller Lite, Bud Lite or Natty Bo. I dig it that they’ve stuck to their little one-eyed mascot on the label. Baltimore truly is the land of pleasant living. I drank it for Parker, my nephew celebrating his first birthday at the Baltimore Zoo. I’ll never forget allowing the bum, who apparently lives within the pavillion we reserved, stay and enjoy the food and beer... with the strict understanding that he would be booted out if he asked ANYONE for money! He behaved just fine, although he held several in-depth conversations with himself.

Ehh. Pretty close to the typical yellow fizzy beer. Not a lot going on and nothing special to rate about. Thanks for sending, Elwood.

Pours clean straw yellow with two fingers of frothy white head. Nose is skunky and metallic, pretty standard wet hay and straw. Grassy with a light sweetness and bready quality. Better than most macros.

Brief write up. For an adjunct macro lager, this is actually quite solid! It’s not something that one should wax poetically trying to understand its nuances or subtleties, but it’s hard to beat downing a 6 pack of these while fishing on a 90 degree day. Not overcarbonated like some macro lagers. You could do far worse for the price, only thing is that it doesn’t smell very good.

Served on draft at Beer Run. On draft! Almost mulligan-worthy J. Almost. But its retro so I’ll give you a pass. Pours a clear very pale yellow color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of corn, grain with a sweet finish. The taste is sweet malts, corn and faint hops. Thin bodied. I wanted to like this, but it is just too sweet.

Canned vegetable nose, not strong thankfully. Grain and canned vegetable. Finest grains my ass.

Can, but sadly not a tallboy. Pours gold with thin white head. Aroma and flavor is sweet malt and corn. Clearly not an amazing craft brew, but I would take this over the other macro US lagers any day,

I am from bmore and I don’t feel lagers are very good anyway in most cases. But if you have to drink one this is not to bad I have had in a bottle, can and draft, draft is the best. Not to much to say lite and a lager. Its a same that not done local any more.

A local favorite, but still not a good beer by any means. For the price point it definitely beats out the others in it such as Keystone, Busch and Natural Light.

Can (of course). Pours clear pale gold with a small, fizzy white head, quickly dissipating with faint to no lacing. Aroma is meal, cereal, and straw malt with light adjunct notes; fairly clean. Flavor is malt with light spicy hops, light bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and warmth, medium carbonation.
