The sweet flavor has notes of light yeast, banana/fruit and wheat, not as weak as many kristall weizen, and the finish is slightly spicy. Quite OK.

Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, yeast, fruity, light banana. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, fruity, yeast, mild banana yeast. Body is medium, texture is watery to creamy, carbonation is soft. [20111121]

Bottle: Golden, lazy carbonation, big beaten-egg-white-like white head; distinctive sweetish wheaty-fruity nose; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, soft and medium bodied; a light acidity shows up in the sweet-fruity (apricots) finish. An excellent example of this odd style.....

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a dense and huge foamy white head. Sweet and distinctively wheat-malty aroma with fruity notes of citrus and banana, accompanied by mildly clovy spices. Moderately sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a sparkling carbonation. Wheaty and hearty fruity taste with well-embedded spicy phenols; sweet and slightly acidic fruity finish with just a touch of cloves. One of the better Kristallweizen. 16.VI.10

The bottle looks simple but good. The beer in the glass is very zippy, small head. Starts sweet and yeasty, notes of peach. Finish quite hoppy with a grasy aftertaste. Interesting!

bottle, Getränke Göbel Giengen. Clea golden yellow, large white head. Fruity nose with hints of lemon and tropical fruit. Malt, fruity with shy hop flavours. Pleasantly wheaty. A good example of the style.
