3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured as a 4 oz taster in Greensboro pub. Surprising dark coffee notes, malt, beautiful color, sweetness counters the coffee enough that the wife, who doesn’t like coffee, likes. Went very well with the burger for lunch.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice copper color, with a medium, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is toffee, juniper, almonds, raisins, and some light cardamon. Sweet flavor throughout, with just a touch of bitterness. Medium body, thick, and a little crisp and harsh. This is a pretty good, malty amber ale. Not overly deep or complex, but solid, well-made, and crisp.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from 12 oz bottle a crystal clear amber, forming a fine off white head. Aroma that of a restrained flowery hop character and a touch of caramel malt. Not much after that. Flavour waffles of floral hops, carmel malt, just a hint of sweetness. Blah....

Asheville, NC - Bruisin’ Ales - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, light off white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is pretty much neutral, trace of mineral water. Flavor has some very faint nutty accents, a wee wisp of caramel, some hard candy sweetness. Mouthfeel is kind of dull. Not feeling it on this one.
