Bottle. The pour was a medium brown with a yellow hue and an average sized (1-2 finger) frothy off white head that diminished to a thin layer of residue and lasted throughout creating some really good spotty sticky lacing.
The aroma was of mild bread and grain malts, an herbal hop and a sweet earthy yeast with notes of toffee and caramel.
The taste was lightly sweet and malty with just a mild hint of toffee at first and then got a little hop bite with a nice caramel note at the end. The flavor lasted a decent amount of time with a slight hoppiness left at the finish.
Mouthfeel was just a bit above light in body with the texture being a bit watery and a tad dry with a lively carbonation.
Overall a nice tasty Amber ale with a nice mild hoppiness to it. But it seems that everything I try from this brewer is quite tasty.

This brew pours a clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and mild hops. Light body with a caramel malt character and notes of grain and hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Fairly average overall.

On tap at Natty Greenes, Greensboro NC on 13 July 2006 (noted at 4.8%). More copper than amber in colour. There’s a restrained flowery hop character and a touch of caramel malt. Clean and easy drinking. Less happening here than the APA. Respectable enough but not very inspiring.
