COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strong-style India Pale Ale, deep copper in color witha a big, malty, hoppy palate and dry hopped with Centennial & Antanum for a spicy, citrus aroma. What better name for a big, strong beer than one of the biggest, strongest weapons of the Revolutionary War - the cannonball.

Orange, and rather syrupy looking, too. No head. Very heavy aroma of hops and alcohol. Thick and malty, with a surprisingly big caramel and brown sugar flavor, considering how hoppy it smells. Plenty of big citrusy hops, too, though. nice blending of sweet and bitter thoughout, and rather dryish finish. At 2007 Hickory Hops.

Growler courtesy of kp sampled on 1/4/07: Pours a hazy copper orange with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of sweet, candy-like caramel malt has a citrusy hoppy presence. Body starts sweet and pale malty with nice fresh green piny and citric hoppy balance. A nice, fresh IPA.

On draft at the brewpub . Nice looking light gold with a moderate white head. Hoppy pine and citrus aroma over a light brown sugar background. Medium body and carbonation, pretty clean on the palate. Bitterness takes center stage, although there is a pretty substantial caramel malty background that prevents thing from getting out of hand. A very nice double IPA.

This is a nice brew. Pours out a deep orange color with a nice white head. Aroma is very hoppy and citrusy. Flavor was nice, but not nearly as bitter as i had hoped for. Over all not a bad brew at all. Something I will have again. Also after 6 pints of this stuff, youll be drunk. I certainly was.

GABF 2006: Hazy amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was hop foward with citrus and grass notes. Good malt standing right behind it. The flavor was mostly sweet malt with light hop flavor running in the background. Kind of mild on the bitterness in the finish.

This has a murky orange body with a brownish orange head. Serious lacing here. The aroma is rife with grapefruit, orange zest, and pine atop a strong sweet malt scent. Thick bodied, it has a sturdy caramel body with enough hop bitterness to make this hophead smile. The finish is a prolonged citric and pine bitterness. Not too shabby.

Growler as noted below. Coppery pour with a white head. Big grapefruit nose, decent malt backbone. Flavor is really nice - pine, grapefruit, orange, even something like peach - all over a lightly sweet malt. Body is thick, but not overly so. Another winner from the tasting!

Tasting at Immy’s. From Growler. Yellow orange pour with white head. Candied grapefruit nose. Flavor is a lighter version of the nose along with some herbal notes. Well done.

Growler at Immy’s Tasting on 7-22-06. Unopened and leftover at RBSG so I took this home and into the fridge it went. I believe chris_o purchased this - thanks Chris! Copper bodied. Nose is hoppy, malty, and citrusy. Taste is malt with loads of hops, pine, and citrus fruits. Body is medium-full and chewy. Light oily feel as well. Finishes with more furits (melon, pear and tangerine), sweet amlts, caramel, hops and pine. Nice stuff!
