Enjoyed with some afternoon football this past weekend thanks to Beerbill. Nice copper colored brew with a head so big I thought it was infected. Not so thankfully. Citrus hop aroma with a smidge of resinous presence and a lightly orange like sweet malt. Resinous hops are dominant in the flavor thought some lemon like presence sneaks up in the end. Touches of grain. A nicely bitter brew with enough body that it becomes quite drinkable. Medium body with a dry mouth feel. Enjoyed it.

Tasting at Immy’s. From Growler. Yellow orange pour with white head. Candied grapefruit nose. Flavor is a lighter version of the nose along with some herbal notes. Well done.

12oz. bottle, with thanks to brentk56 for the great bonus. Pours a clear golden orange with a huge and lasting off-white head that leaves big chunks of lace. Aroma is floral, citrus and peel, a little pine and light caramel. Flavor is juicy, with a nice blend of floral, crisp fresh citrus and caramel. Drinks more like an IPA than a Double; good stuff either way. Thanks again Brent!

Bottle at Tampa tasting, thanks jdubFL I think. Poured a slightly hazy copper color with a thin off-white head. Nose is full of pine, grass, citrus. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. This one has a solid caramel foundation with a good amount of unbalanced hops bitterness, yum. Finishes bitter with a lingering citrus note. Very nice.

12 ounce bottle thanks to brentk56. Pours a cloudy orange color with one hell of a thick white foamy head- be careful! The aroma is orange rind, caramel and lemons. The flavor is very nice; probably the most citrus I’ve ever tasted in a hop driven beer, lemons and orange, light malts. Wet. A nice mouthfeel. Enjoyable, a light bitter grapefruit finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BuckNaked (1231) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2006
Draught at the Brewpub in Greensboro 3/25/06: Hazy amber body with a medium white head, nicely lasting and sticking to the glass. The aroma is fresh, juicy hops, and plenty of citrus scents. The taste is bitter, juicy hops, citrus, and an interesting yeast character that tastes exactly like the salty/fruity/light butter character found in both Legend and Pizza Port beers. Medium bodied, medium carbonated, finishes with bitter citrus hops and some of that fruity yeast.

12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, floral hops, and pine. Tastes of citrus, pine, and caramel.

This is a nice brew. Pours out a deep orange color with a nice white head. Aroma is very hoppy and citrusy. Flavor was nice, but not nearly as bitter as i had hoped for. Over all not a bad brew at all. Something I will have again. Also after 6 pints of this stuff, youll be drunk. I certainly was.

Nice Impy IPA... Pours an orange-amber, semi-hazed into the glass, with a nice eggshell head that leaves generous lace. The nose is of citrus, pine and floral notes. The flavors, although not indicative of the traditional IIPA (not quite the malty backbone that I’m accustomed to), are integrated excellently. There is plenty of grapefruit, rind, zest, some caramel and pine needles throughout. The finish has a nice lingering hop bite, along with a touch of alcohol to close the pull. The mouthfeel is sticky, and the body is full. Excellent drinkability, and a solid addition to the Natty Greene’s line.
