MartinT (8135) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 10, 2014
My Bottom Line:
Sour cherries, barnyard and red vinegar coincide in this dry and tart creation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy red.
-Carbonation feels natural, which helps the flavor profile greatly.
-The acetic finish may be a tad too much for some, but I like it.
-The mouthfeel is soft, which helps drinkability greatly.

Bottle.

Travlr (13511) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Draft at Release the Funk, 2014 version. Deep reddish maroon color, beige head. Aroma of overripe cherries, vanilla, light tannin. Taste is sweet and sour brandied cherries and vanilla. Very tasty.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
Damico (2694) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2014
Pours amber mostly unclear with a beige head head. Aroma brings a sweet tart characteristic of American sours with a bit of wheat as well. Flavors bring sweeter tart than usual, maybe it has died a bit after a few years in the cellar.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
DuffMan (7037) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 22, 2014
Bottle, from b3shine (thanks Beau!), shared at RBAG 2014. Medium amber brown, spare off white head. Kriekish, unripened cherries, strong lactic sourness (very "American" in this respect). Very tasty.

Ferris (5009) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle - Umame, sour funky cherry and light herbs. Clear copper with light head. Sour cherry, umame and a long cloying finish. Not great.

kbudd19 (723) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle share by Tont at RBAG. Cloudy red brown pour with a small layer of white thin head. Aroma is sour tartness, light funk, with some mild sweetness. Taste is sour up front, very sharp finish and somewhat one sided.

Suttree (5266) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2014
Sampled at Hickory Hops 2014. Lots of cherry and balsamic vinegar in this one, both in the smell and taste. Some woody flavors, too. Maybe some red wine, as well. Pretty good...

italarican (1484) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - FEB 3, 2014
Bottle shared by Andrew at the Foothills Sexual Chocolate pre-release party. Pours a light burgundy. Nice flanders style representation. A bit heavier on caramel malt than other flanders reds that gives the body a little sticky sweetness. Moderate balsamic notes. Moderately acidic. All in all, a solid sour that would be the type I’d use to introduce someone to the style.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 16/20
jredmond (5673) - Manhattan, New York, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Sampled at WtWBA 2013 in Brooklyn. Pours a hazy amber body with white lacing. Aroma is tart fruit, oak, and funk. Mouthfeel is medium with nice acidity, funky musk, sour fruit and wood. Nice sour.

decaturstevo (5215) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Deep copper pour with off white head and lace. Tart acidic and fruity aroma. Flat tart flavor and a flat sour. Watery and thin but an ok beer. rbwg
