3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy pinkish red color with a small off-white head. The nose is certainly sour, mostly in the form of vinegar. A little bit of dark fruit and straw, but overall, it’s a fairly simnple beer. Maybe a hint of oak. Tastes similar to how it smells. Perhaps a bit more lactic than the aroma lets on, but still fairly vinegary. There is some fruit character such as black cherry and raisin as well as a bit of lemon peel, straw, and grass. Medium body with medium carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 22oz, at TFODRBSG 2012. Bottle #7. A lightly unclear, brown beer topped by a small, light beige head. Vinegarish nose with some roasted malts. Pleasant but a bit one dimensional. I like vinegarish beers, good ones, but this was a bit boring, both in the aroma and the flavor. Vinegar, some berries, roasted notes and a touch of toffee in the flavor. Lasting finish. Tart, medium to full body, and pleasantly carbonated. Not impressed, but it’s far from bad. 120818
