Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Chips Wine & Beer. It pours a hazy brownish orange with a lasting off-white head. It’s got a nice nose that I can smell from arms length. Lots of bright citrus and pine. Very dry, almost astringent on the tongue. Lasting pine bitterness that not overwhelming. Not much malt, just enough for body. Nice brew.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DrSilverworm (2706) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 9, 2012
12oz bottle, thanks to Jay. Piney, citrus. Good assertive hop aroma. Decidedly east coast in flavor, somehow. Some grapefruit. Good malt backbone, toast, light caramel, pretzel. Hazy amber / orange color, lots of sediment floating inside. Foamy off-white head, with great retention and good lace. Lighter carbonation, very dry texture. Soft overall. Earthy hops. Orange, stronger bitter taste, buzzes on the tongue. Aggressive, but I think I like that. Very interesting, enjoyable IPA to sip, big flavor for the ABV.

Draft at sude and duds. Pours orange with an inch of white foam that leaves a lot of lacing. Not a ton on the nose. A bit of malt and floral notes on the tongue. There’s a lot of bitterness on the finish. Eh!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bubbleflubber (1423) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 26, 2012
On tap at Brixx Pizza in Asheville. This poured from a brand new keg as liquid murky caramel brown, with a frothy head that leaves thick lacing. The nose is of earth, silage and pine. The flavors are of caramel malt, light pine, a hint of copper and some woody hops. The finish is a semi-lingering bitter. The mouthfeel is nice and easily smooth. Not sure why the low ratings, as I found this to be quite tasty, easily drinkable and superbly integrated.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TravHimself (36) - mebane, North Carolina, USA - AUG 6, 2012
I always like finding a new local brew to try out and I ran across this limited release ipa brewed in Greensboro so I decided to give it a go, poured from the bottle into a pint glass , this ipa pours a very hazy golden amber, lots of pineapple and citrus on the nose, taste has a nice sweet malt up front and finishes dry with a mildly bitter note of pine and citrus on the back end, very well balanced and not overpowering at all for the style a great session beer a good one to break the ice when getting into ipa’s ...not bad
