Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Boulevard pint glass From: Total Wine & More in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C. Price: $6.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: Sept. 9, 2014 Consumed: Sept. 9, 2014 Misc.: Born on date of July 2, 2014 Poured a yellow, golden, semi-clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of creamy white rocky head. Good uneven layered foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 4.11) Smelled citrus hops, floral hops, wet Cascade hops, soap, pine, caramel, slight resin hops, some tropical hops, orange rind and mango. (Smell - 3.97) Tasted similar to the nose. Caramel, tropical hops, mango, wet Cascade hops, resin hops, citrus hops, floral hops, soapy notes, bitter melon rind, orange zest, pine and lemon. Reminded me of a Manzanita IPA. (Taste - 4.07) Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00) Really liked this IPA, but the first one of the five I had was the best. Maybe overrated it a tad. (Overall - 4.06) 4.04 90 A-

Bottle at random North Carolina bar. Grapefruit hop aroma, slight caramel malt as well. Flavor matches. Maybe not spectacular, but a pleasant bitterness, and the hop profile was pleasant, with some tropical notes mixing in as well. Nice.

Snagged a bottle from a trade. Pours a bright orange color with a very long lasting white head. Leaves a spotty nice lacing. A very tingly hop grapefruit nose. A pleasant cool pine flavor right up front. A very bitter hop character with a nice soft feel. Pretty good.

Pours out an amberish hue, with a white head. Lots of pineapple and citrus on the nose, taste has a nice sweet malt up front and finishes dry with a mildly bitter note of pine and citrus. The flavour has a flowery and light citric hops, light sweetness, and a grassy finish. Decent enough, overall not bad.

Clear orange, with a thin sheet of white foam. Grainy, roasty aroma. Flavor is pine or spruce, with some citrus, and goo deal of caramel. Pretty tasty...

From 12 ounce bottle bought at The Veggie Wagon in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, tasted on August 16, 2013. Medium white .head, cloudy orange/yellow color, nice bittersweet nose with hop, citrus and other fruit, light to medium body, moderate bittersweet flavor with most of the hop bite at the end, fruit notes throughout. A bit unbalanced but good overall

12oz bottle from Lowes in Hickory. Wet hop, weed aroma. Tastes are herbal, toffee, sweet malt, background citrus. Lightly bitter. Strangely not a typical American ipa, but grew on me. 7.0

12oz bottle, blue label (F). Pale yellow color, slight haze. Aroma of citrus hops. Flavor is a very sharp bitterness. Heavy fizz, big bubbles, over-carbonated; could be an old bottle. (3924)

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate citrus, caramel, light lemon peel, and floral notes. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a one finger white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with citrus, fruit, and caramel, The finish has mild citrus hops, grass, and a touch of floral notes. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat mouthfeel. Overall, too much caramel and not enough hops for my IPA preferences.
