Bottle. Pours out an orange color with a white head. Smell is hoppy and fruity with plenty of citrus. Taste is smooth and refreshing. Pretty good beer really, not sure about the low ratings. It was very fresh when i has it...

Hazy bright amber pour. Aroma is grapefruit and pine. Flavor is along the lines of an IPA. Resinous mouth-feel. Grapefruit, spruce, honey and citrus. Finish is dry

From tap at Brewery. Pours deep golden/amber color. Aroma was strong of herbal hops and malt. Taste followed. I enjoyed this one.

Pours hazy straw amber with a massive foamy white head that laces like mad. Aroma is jammy lemon-orange-floral citrus. Taste is quick to the piney hops and then flows into some rich orange-grapefruit citrus. Backbone is semi-sweet and the aftertaste is bitter. Very atypical but enjoyable and drinkable AIPA. Wish this were a regular from Natty G - it's one of their best.

On tap. Leaves excellent lacing. Remarkable simulation of oranges and orange peel in both the flavor and aroma. Mild bitterness for style. Medium body and carbonation. O: a very fruity (citrus) and appealing IPA.

bubbleflubber (1873) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 26, 2012
On tap at Brixx Pizza in Asheville. This poured from a brand new keg as liquid murky caramel brown, with a frothy head that leaves thick lacing. The nose is of earth, silage and pine. The flavors are of caramel malt, light pine, a hint of copper and some woody hops. The finish is a semi-lingering bitter. The mouthfeel is nice and easily smooth. Not sure why the low ratings, as I found this to be quite tasty, easily drinkable and superbly integrated.

Poured from bottle - pours a light gold, slightly hazy, with 2 cm frothy white head. Aroma is a mix of citrus and resin. Significant lacing and head is long lasting. Taste has some initial sweetness followed by crisp bitterness. The finish is medium long. This is a very refreshing and tasty beer. I like it a lot.

Bottle at random North Carolina bar. Grapefruit hop aroma, slight caramel malt as well. Flavor matches. Maybe not spectacular, but a pleasant bitterness, and the hop profile was pleasant, with some tropical notes mixing in as well. Nice.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Boulevard pint glass From: Total Wine & More in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C. Price: $6.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: Sept. 9, 2014 Consumed: Sept. 9, 2014 Misc.: Born on date of July 2, 2014 Poured a yellow, golden, semi-clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of creamy white rocky head. Good uneven layered foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 4.11) Smelled citrus hops, floral hops, wet Cascade hops, soap, pine, caramel, slight resin hops, some tropical hops, orange rind and mango. (Smell - 3.97) Tasted similar to the nose. Caramel, tropical hops, mango, wet Cascade hops, resin hops, citrus hops, floral hops, soapy notes, bitter melon rind, orange zest, pine and lemon. Reminded me of a Manzanita IPA. (Taste - 4.07) Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00) Really liked this IPA, but the first one of the five I had was the best. Maybe overrated it a tad. (Overall - 4.06) 4.04 90 A-
