arventresca (145), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Aug 16, 2008 Tap. Dark gold with white head. Pretty average golden ale. Sampled at PGA Tour event in Greensboro. Nice to see something besides the A-B products. OK, but like I said, average. nearbeer (1199), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 9, 2008 12 oz. Clear topaz with a four-finger head that leaves some creamy lace. Dry cereal, honey and grass aromas. Mild flavors of grain, sourish grass, citrus and honey. Light body is watery, lightly carbonated and finishes dry. Why is this placed in the "Bitter" category? It is obviously a mediocre golden ale even by the commercial description. NachlamSie (1320), Tennessee, USA Feb 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours rather light gold and barely hazy at all with a tiny white head. Nose is light, crisp, almost tart, and almost like sweat. Flavor is a bit more assertive than I thought. A good, clean, even breadiness and crackers is noticed throughout. Hops are rather mild and don’t add a whole lot. Very unexciting, but not woeful. biznizness (687), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Feb 7, 2008 Bad beer. The guy before me is right on, this beer smells horrible. This beer’s only saving grace is that I’m using it to chase some GOOD scotch. radagast83 (1036), Springfield, Virginia, USA Dec 19, 2007 Bottle thanks to badnloose. Poured a pale golden color with an extremely small head. Aroma is almost a new level of bad. Sour aroma with notes of grains and straw. Flavor is much better, but that’s not saying much. The beer is weak malts, with grass.
