COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium-bodied, unfiltered wheat beer with a clove & banana aroma and a refreshing, tart finish. We dubbed this German-styled wheat beer Hessian as this was the name of German volunteer soldiers in the Revolutionary War. The period flags are of the Hessian towns where the soldiers originated.

Served on draft at the Raleigh location. Pours a hazy yellow with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention. Strong wheat in the aroma with some faint citrus notes. Kinda bland. The taste is citrus, wheat, yeast and a spicy finish. Average carbonation and thin bodied.

A hazed amber hefeweizen wit a thin white head, served with an orange wedge. In aroma, sweet banan, cloves, with light sulfury notes. In mouth, a lightly oily sweet banan malt with nice cloven notes, nice and restrained, refreshing. On tap at Greensboro location, August 14 2011.

not a good hefe impression, but a nice american hefe. A bit watery and lacking in palate.

Served from tap into a standard pint. Poured a hazy pale yellow with a one-finger white head that subsides to minimal. Maintained decent lacing throughout. The aroma was comprised of wheat and citrus. The flavor was kind of bland with a spicy wheat follow-through. It was light on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a very subtle and smooth Hefe. It was light on flavor but made it quite drinkable and very refreshing for a hot day. Worth a shot if you are a Hefe fan and get the chance.

Off yellow pour with decent sized white head. Aroma of coriander and banana runts. More spices and banana in the flavor. Carbonation was slightly heavy at finish but drinkable.

Tap at the brewpub on 2/2/08: Pours a cloudy deep golden with a clingy-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of sweet doughy German yeast and caramely malt with a touch of banana esters. Starts fairly full-bodied and malted wheaty sweet with a good balance of bready yeast and clove spice. A nicely done hefeweizen.

Hazed yellow/brown pour with creamy white head and lace. Corriander and bannanas on the nose. Clove, bannana, and a slight semi sweet maltiness. Just a bit fizzy. Very solid refreshing beer. I really liked this beer. I can’t say enough about how clean and good it was.
