COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium-bodied, unfiltered wheat beer with a clove & banana aroma and a refreshing, tart finish. We dubbed this German-styled wheat beer Hessian as this was the name of German volunteer soldiers in the Revolutionary War. The period flags are of the Hessian towns where the soldiers originated.

Draft at brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. For some reason at the brewpub they stick an orange slice on the glass. Nice estery notes on the nose. Has a nice banana and clove thing on the tongue. Finishes clean. perfect for the summer. I wish everything they did was this nice.

draught. Pours cloudy orange with a tall white head. The aroma is aggressive with not so subtle bananas and cloves. The flavor is again not delicate, but it certainly isn’t overly sweet or spiced. The banana character is quite juicy, some light citrus is present, and grainy, wheaty notes add a dimension to the finish. Quite drinkable.

Draft at Natty Greenes. Came to me with a fucking orange wedge on it. Did I order a God Damn Pina Colada? No. So get that fruit shit out of my beer. Pours out a dark yellow to light orange color with a nice white head on it. Smell was fruity and full of orange peel, coriander, and perhaps a little bit of lemon. Taste was very smooth and easy to drink. I could drink quite a bit of these on a hot summer day. Too bad they do not bottle this one. Extremely underrated on this site. Just leave off that fucking orange.

Cloudy straw-orange pour, minimal sudsy head and webbed lace. Citrus, wheat and clove notes to the bouquet. Great clove and banana notes in the flavor! These accompany, indicative of style, wheat and citrusy (orange-lemon) contingencies. The clove really adds to the finish and after. The mouthfeel is slick to the palate, and went down perfectly for a hot summer July 4th!

Tap. Hazy golden with small head. Tart wheat. Very minimal clove and banana. Refreshing, but not overly flavorful.

not a good hefe impression, but a nice american hefe. A bit watery and lacking in palate.

Tap at Natty Greene’s downtown - pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is the typical banana and clove. Good example of the style, though I wish they wouldn’t put the stupid orange wedge on the glass.

Off yellow pour with decent sized white head. Aroma of coriander and banana runts. More spices and banana in the flavor. Carbonation was slightly heavy at finish but drinkable.

Draft at NG. Pours a golden copper color with a white head. Has hints of your typical wheat and spice. Good job on this one. Had a kind of a Belgium influence to it. Very smooth, and crisp refreshing fruits. Finished the same.
