On tap in Raleigh. Pours a dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma of roaste malt, nuts, sweet malt, caramel. Flavor of sweet malt, hazlenut, roasted malt. A bit sweet, pretty simple. Just ok for me. 6/4/6/3/13 (3.2/5)

Sampled on tap at Natty Greene’s in Raleigh. Pours a deep brown color with white head. Nutty, sweet roastiness, malty aromas and flavors. Nothing special, but very easy drinking brown.

A pretty decent brown ale. Very sessionable. Roasted and nutty. Tried at the Drink the District President’s Day event in DC in 2014.

Pours garnet-tinted brown with a tan head that quickly fades to a collar from a cold bottle. No lacing to speak of. Aroma is mild, nutty malt with a echo of cocoa. Taste is somewhat watery, metallic and flat with semi-sweet flavors of malt, cocoa and caramel and mild bitterness to finish. Better as it warms; drinkable but not memorable from a brewery that has some solid output. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nutty, light chocolate, a bit of brown sugar, lightly toasted malts. Medium bodied. Solid brown ale and really dug the low abv.
