The chalkboard says it’s spiced with "wild honey, cinnamon, chamomile, and clove". I’m interested...go on... Pours a deep cola color, with plenty of mahogany and ruby highlights. Fluffy light tan head whittles away to a thin film. Wet sparse lacing occurs. Aromas were rather lightly "spiced". Some sweet tones of honey; a bit of a clove note; but otherwise rather inocuous and, dare I say it, bland. Flavors offer, again, a rather mild spicy character. Some oh-so-subtle cinnamon stick lingers. No actual zing from an open ground cinnamon jar, this is rather the subtle scents of cinnamon leaking through the closed container The clove seems to be most prevalent, but at the same time not overpowering at all. Aftertaste of perfumey floral notes; soft and gentle. For the darker color, and the advertised spicing, this beer was too watery for me. Thin. Had to order an additional pint as the first just raced down my gullet....i.e. drinkable as can be. Tame. Yet mindlessly drinkable.
