Our winter warmer ale is "gingerbread in a glass". Full-bodied, spiced with cinnamon, star anise, corinader, and orange peel. Citrus, tart finish.

Old rating. Forgettable heavy spiced beer. Ginger, cinnamon, pumpkin spices over medium bodied ale with some citrus hops.

2/27/2015. From bottle. Wintery spice aromas, light malt, citrus. The spices are a little too dominant for my palate. Would have been nice if other nuances would balance it a bit.

Bottle. Dark cloudy beer. Not much head. Ginger spice aroma and taste but not too strong. Nice bit of bite. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Location: Draft at Dandelion Market, 1/26/15

Aroma: The nose is nutty and sweet malts, some caramel/toffee, and some spice
Appearance: Pours a murky looking brownish-red color with a small head
Flavor: The taste is along the same lines, sweet and malty, spice, and light, earthy hops
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a decent mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent, drinkable beer overall. I didn’t get as much of the gingerbread flavor as I’d expect from a beer described as "gingerbread in a glass." There’s some winter style spices, but the nutty and malty flavors are more dominant in my opinion.

Bottle, shared from Timmy. Reddish-brown color, with a thin, grey head. Syrupy and be easy nose, with a mild, artificial cherry hint and some nondescript spice. Sticky sweet, with almost no bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a cloying, sticky, and thick feel. Meh.

Dark amber color with a thin white lacing. Malt, and other aromas I cannot place. Weak aroma. Malt, sour, spices with a mild sweetness aftertaste. Good beer

The beer of Thanksgiving 2014. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a hazy dark ruby to brown color with an average-sized foamy white head that had short retention, and modest cling and lacing. Its aroma featured figs and floral scents along with some caramel malt and molasses, and bits of orange, wheat, and spices. The taste had a mildly sour fruity aspect, but also some earthy and grainy bitterness and a lightly sweet dark fruit effect with raisin. It was fairly wet and a bit watery with average carbonation and fairly fluid mouthfeel.
