Gabe511 (2), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA does not count Sep 4, 2008 Bottle, poured a dark honey color with a good thick head. Nose had a slight piney/citrus smell that was nice but not very strong. Taste had the same that faded pretty quickly to a watery malty kinda finish. Had a slightly malty bitter palate feel. Was ok at best, but no Sierra Nevada. emacgee (1054), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2008 Pours a translucent copper/gold with a thin white head. The nose was citrusy, sweet, grassy, some orange peel. The flavor was grassy, waxy, sweet, slightly bitter, also showcased the "foot" taste I’ve come to find in NG stuff. The palate is a bit thin with a mild bitterness. nearbeer (1234), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 30, 2008 12 oz, bb Aug 08. Clear burnt orange with a large meringue head that lasts. Aroma is yeasty citrus, honey and iron. Flavor is a mild mix of honey, resin, grain, citrus, peach and gunmetal. Light-medium body is smooth and lightly tingly with a nod to the dry side. jrob_21 (847), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 29, 2008 On tap at the Greensboro Grasshoppers game. Not a bad baseball game watching beer. Crisp pale ale with nice pine hop aromas. Faint citrus flavor with some grapefruit hidden in there. The hops were right on for a straight up pale, the body and palate were a little light and faint though. after4ever (1717), Brier, Washington, USA May 23, 2008 12-oz. Thanks, Skoi! This was pretty much a direct retread of the Jockamo--earthy, piney hops, diacetyl problems, too light, indifferently brewed and indifferently conceived. Not much of a beer no matter how you slice it.
