3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 KajII (705) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAR 24, 2012Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium yellow with a huge (3-4 finger) white fluffy head that was mostly lasting, reducing to a thick cap of foam and had very good sticky lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt and a sweaty soapy yeast with notes of citrus (lemon and orange) and a bit of coriander.
The taste was very mildly sweet, a bit acidic and had a light grain taste with a nice note of citrus at first and finished with a very mild bitter acidic taste with notes of wheat/yeast and coriander at the end. The flavor lasted an average time with a spicy wheat taste fading slowly.
Mouthfeel was light in body and a little watery in texture with a nice prickly carbonation.
Overall a very good Witbier that had all the basic elements and a bit of spice making it a very drinkable and enjoyable brew...

Honey, sweet malt tones in the lightly floral aroma. Very pale, clear brew; good label. Crisp, dry, chamomile/lemon flavors. Quick finish, light body, aftertaste is very similar to the actual flavor. Thanks, LuckyDog.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JCB (3804) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 13, 2012
On tap at Porter’s, Raleigh (I think). Like most American wits, this golden concoction is mostly boring as shit. I reckon they sell a truckload of this stuff in the warmer months, and hope they put the profits to good use. At least Natty’s offering has a nicely sprucey herbal element from the addition of flowers, something that leavens the by-the-numbers sweetness a bit.

Tap. Golden with small head. Wit without much spice or flavor. Very slight coriander and citrus. Not bad, just unexciting.

This one isn’t bad, but it’s not all that good. I don’t get a lot of good smell or taste to this one, though it’s very light and easy to drink.

12 oz. Bottle. A solid wit. Honey, wheat, and coriander scent with a fruit hint. Cloudy gold pour with a foamy head quick to white ring. Light body, crisp texture, silky on the tongue. Honey fronted taste with that coriander note, wheat, and a little orange fruit in the finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tkrjukoff (3360) - SWEDEN - JUN 9, 2012
Tap at Natty Greene’s. Pours cloudy pale golden with a small white head leaving small laces. Aroma is yeasty, wheaty, citric orange and coriander. Flavor is yeasty, orange, wheaty, a bit bready and slightly bitter. Finishes with a fresh orange peel and slightly bitter aftertaste. Refreshing and good.
