COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Natural Ice is brewed with a blend of premium American-grown and imported hops and a combination of malt and corn that lends Natural Ice its delicate sweetness. It then undergoes Anheuser-Busch’s exclusive ice-brewing process, which takes the beer to a temperature below freezing and leads to the formation of ice crystals which create its signature rich and smooth taste.

Characterized by its robust body, delicate sweetness and smooth, rich taste.

The introduction of Natural Ice provided the company with two brands in the value priced ice beer category (Busch Ice was also introduced in 1995).

I held off trying this for years. Had it out of a 22 oz. bottle. Cannot comment on the color and head and those factors are really insignificant to judging this style of beer. What I can say is that it has some body, is smooth, and has just enough hop to notice and make it pass for a lager rather than the over-sweet profile of most malt liquors. I thought it was a better brew than Budweiser, and it aided me in taking a refreshing nap.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma - :Almost non-existent, has a slight grain aroma. Appearance- A nice clear light yellowcolor with a large white head Taste - Mostly a grain flavor with an alcohol aftertaste Palate- A thin bodied brew with light carbonation. Overall - A bargain priced beer that is meant to be quaffed in large quantities. It is not bad and for the style of beer it is one of the better ones out there.

Tall, 25 ounce can. Pours brilliantly clear yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is wet paper and faint corn, rice and Pils malt, maybe some dirty ice from thousands of years ago, oooohh, dinosaur ice. Flavor is chewed paper (spit ball contest anyone?) with light corn and rice notes, not much dinosaur dirty ice (but some) with a dry finish. I do not think hops came within 100 miles of this beer. Hops were far enough away that if you were allergic to hops, they would not even need to add allergen labels to this beer. Light body, watery and thin with light carbonation. Is there a point to this beer?

Transfer from BA review on 5-26-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- The beer pours a straw color with a big billowy white head that fades very rapidly. After the head fades the brew leaves almost no lace on the side of the glass. Smell- The aroma is heaviest of corn and a little bit of a caramel malt. Mixed with these is a light alcohol aroma as well. Taste – The taste starts out rather sweet of corn and caramel with a little bit of a bready backbone. As the taste advances it brings a mild flavor of cardboard to the tongue which grows even stronger as the brew warms over time. With the cardboard taste, so too comes some notes of caramel, which help balance them out slightly. In the end an overall sweet corn slightly off, yet still crisp flavor is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is on the medium side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly above average side. Not bad for the style as it still maintains good drinkability, but a slightly thinner body and higher carbonation may have matched the flavor profile a bit better. Overall – Rather average adjunct lager. Nothing to offensive but nothing too great- it gets the job done.

Pours wan straw yellow with a fairly thick but effervescent white head. And it’s downhill from there. Aroma is barely noticeable, crisp and malty but nothing else. Taste is - hello! Earth to can! Is this beer, or water with a few drops of beer? (Yeah, I know - no sarcastic reviews.) Texture is watery, and fizz is barely noticeable. OK, this is officially the worst beer I’ve had. Or the worst excuse for a beer. Well, got it from a friend, so at the very least got another rating in.

Can from Food Pantry Waikiki 271214. Okay for 99 cents all the dual pale lager qualities - pale colour, white head, bland taste and wet straw aroma.

Backlog. 12 oz can from a friend’s house. Very bland, odorless, flavorless mostly. What comes through ain’t good either. Probably haven’t had one of these in 10 years.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2014 Can. Pours a pale golden with no head. Aroma and taste of cheap ass malts. Not much other than that

I thought I tasted the pure form of God’s creation when I had Natty Light, but this beer brought the game to a whole new level. Craft beers are nice and all, but none of them compare to the absolute divinity of this fine creation. This is truly liquid gold. A must try for any true beer lover.
