COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Natural Ice is brewed with a blend of premium American-grown and imported hops and a combination of malt and corn that lends Natural Ice its delicate sweetness. It then undergoes Anheuser-Busch’s exclusive ice-brewing process, which takes the beer to a temperature below freezing and leads to the formation of ice crystals which create its signature rich and smooth taste.

Characterized by its robust body, delicate sweetness and smooth, rich taste.

The introduction of Natural Ice provided the company with two brands in the value priced ice beer category (Busch Ice was also introduced in 1995).

It’s good after five of them. Initially though, it tastes like somebody already drank it.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2006 2006 Re-rate****Can... Smells and tastes pretty much like Busch Ice, but less offensive. Thin and fizzy. Corny and sweet. Bumping it up from a .9 though. ****Original Rating****Drank this straight from the bottle while tailgating before the 2003 WVU vs. PITT football game. I can only rate the flavor and palate. Not good! Who cares? Everyone knows this beer sucks. Plus, the Mountaineers won the game 52-31. A real defense-oriented backyard brawl!

Pours from the 16 oz can the typical macro golden yellow with a somewhat impressive 2 finger head (on an angle-and-straighten pour) that quickly dissolves into a light collar. Macro fizziness abounds. It has an aroma that is reminiscent of moldy straw and cheese. There’s an initial hit of sweetness on the first sip, followed by a bitterness that seems more "chemical" that a result of hops being added. Mouthfeel is sharp & harsh, with a tingle on the tongue from the fizziness. If consumed both cold enough & fast enough so that it’s flavor is undetectable, I suppose one could knock back a few on a hot summer day. The Commercial Description at the top of the page states that this is a "subpremium-priced ice beer". They forgot to add that it’s a subpremium-quality ice beer as well. Good for one thing and one thing only: getting wasted quickly and inexpensively! Quite simply, this is bottom-of-the-barrel swill, to be consumed only as an act of desperation!

Just thinking about drinking this makes my stomach churn and my arm reach for the desitin. You will wipe more times the following day then you could ever imagine.

Bottle courtesy of MaltDawg on 08/16/2008. Very clear golden yellow body with a medium frothy white head and lots of fizz. Corn and grain aroma, some honey hints. Big corn flavor, some sugar, and grain. Light body with moderately high carbonation.
