3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not extremely memorable beer. I had this beer on tap at Naturbier and I’m not sure if there is any other way. It did not appear like they bottled and distributed. Very nice atmosphere in the brewpub. Basement had taps at each table for self service. Computer would measure the amount of "helles" or "dunkles" that came out of the tap. In any case, the helles was quite light, refreshing. Both beers had an extremely fresh yeasty taste to them due to the high turnover.
A bit of wheat, citrus, and malty taste. Very lightly hopped. Not bad. But did not knock my socks off either. In fact, I preferred the Vienna, which I feel may be a bit underrated on this site so far.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In short: A yeasty blonde lager of some kind. Unpolished session lager.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Partly cloudy dark blonde body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose is yellowed hay, some fruits. In mouth the beer has an expansive foamy body supported by a lively carbonation, pleasant mouthfeel. Taste is both nourishing and refreshing. Fresh straws and hay, honey, a mix-bag of fresh acidic fruits, yeast, mild herbal hops presence. Sharp finish with a mild acidity. There’s no actual problem with this beer but I cannot call it a good beer, I thought the yeast was too upfront and the malts lack definition. Anyway, the tourist friendly Naturbier is not exactly the most exciting brewpub in the world, I suspect people who find the beers from this brewpub exciting are the kind of people who type “tender love making” in porn sites search boxes.

Grifo. Jarra. Color latón y apariencia velada. espuma blanca y corona tupida y persistente que deja anillos de encaje en las paredes. Aromas terrosos y herbales. Entrada fresca y chispeante. Malteado moderado y limpio amargor. Cuerpo medio y carbonatación media/alta. Textura aguada. Final amargo y seco.
On-tap. Dimpled Mug. Brass color, veiled appearance. White froth, close & lasting crown leaves lacing rings. Earthy & herbal aromas. Sparkling & crispy upfront. Moderate maltiness & clean bitterness. Medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Watery. Dry bitter finish.

Apariencia: Color dorado intenso y corona de espuma poco duradera.
Aroma: Suave y ligero, puede recordarnos al del pan recién horneado.
Sabor: Sensiblemente amargo y algo frutal, pero con un final un poco más dulce.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a lightly hazed, golden yellow colored body with an inch thick, frothy and foamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened, somewhat bready pale malts with a light floral fruitiness and touches of apple. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened pale malts with a slight breadiness and a decent floral fruitiness. Some touches of apple again before this finishes clean and dry with a light bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty decent Helles. Clean, balanced, and easy drinking with no off flavors. Not bad.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
2/12 On tap at the brewpub, as Naturbier Rubia. It had slightly hazy golden body with medium sized head. Fine biscuit and dusty aroma, although weak. Typical central European helles flavor, sweet honey malts, chalky and yeasty, with touch of dryer herbal hops. Medium body with long, bittersweet finish that quite pleasantly rounded this beer. Not bad, of the two offered I liked this one better.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the brewpub. Light golden yellow color, really hazy. Nice firm bright white head. Drinks with a grainy and sweet character. Creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish, in a mushy way. Nice break from the plethora of Spanish macro-lagers. (#4834, 11/2012)
