Bottle from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. A deeper gold colour with a thin head. Light body and has a medium bitterness at best. Easily a session ale.

Live rate. 500ml from Rhythm N’ Booze, Cleethorpes. Brilliant bronze with a slender but tenacious off white foam. Something about this is really floating my boat; nose alluring marshmallow, rose and peach not dissimilar to a US IPA, but leaner, less flabby. Bright floral and elderflower hop character; marshmallow agian balanced with underpinning husk and considerable bitterness. A cracking start to the long long weekend...

Bottle (filtered) from Rhythm& Booze in Barton upon Humber. Deep gold, fluffy white and lasting white head and gentle condition. Slight caramel and delicate floral and citrus hop notes in the nose, quite dry in the mouth with a slight burnt toffee note and muted earthy hop resin, mostly bitter hops in the finish.

Cask at the Cleveland Arms. Rich gold pour with a medium, foamy white head. Crispy malts on the nose, light florals and citrus. Medium sweet flavor, mild honey and bread, bit of grass and lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Crisp, light sweet and balanced flavor, modest hops linger shortly. Just a great bitter this. Thirst-quenching and good. Quality.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival on 10 February 2011. Amber colour. Fairly lively. Very moist, clammy malt aroma. Better on the palate but nothing great. Some faint sharp apple notes. Not in the best of shape in my view - seemed a bit green. Flagged for re-rate.

Bottle, 3.9%. Mildly hoppy aroma, grass and nuts. Clear dark golden colour. The flavour is a lot like the aroma, nutty and grassy, and with a good clean bitterness. A bit of nice grapefruity hop flavour as well.
