2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2007
Cask (handpump) at GBBF, August 2006. Dark, mahogany brown colour. Thick head. Not impressed with the condition. I can only describe the aroma as bad - raw malt aplenty and loads of diacetyl. Better on the palate but the overall impression was very dull. I’m sure it can be better than this.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DonMagi (5598) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2007
Some citrus hops on the hos, with a touch of biscuity malts, unusual for a mild indeed. Taste is chocolate malts, barley, reasonably full bodied for the %, really well balanced and really drinkable. Really fine carbponated , like it seemed as if i hadnt vented it for long enough, but 3 1/2 days should not have it like this, unless the fine carbonation is supposed to be part of the beer.

The flavor is sweet with primary notes of chocolate, but also light notes of butter, diacethyl, and fruit, leading to an end that has light notes of metal. The body is thin.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 13, 2006
Half pint pulled at GBBF, a deep brown colour with a frothy light tan colour. A roasted caramal and tangy cherry aroma. Mouthfeel is light, maybe a bit watery, smooth roasted flavours and an unusual bitterness for a mild. Got better through the glass.
