Draught at Hasselt Belgian Bierweekend. Sweet malts, honey, candy sugar, fruity. Medium-dark orange amber, hazy, with thin off-white head. Medium full body with medium carbonation. Carbonic burn. Starts sweet with caramel and some honey, but is tempered by dry fruity hop bitterness. Low acidity, medium bitter finish. Overall, really big on hops with dry finish.

Brewed for the Zythos branch "De Limburgse Biervrienden" Amber-red, hazy beer; good amberish head, leaving fine lace. Nose formed with ambrée malts, cookies - and hops! Some caramel. Roasted, slight bitterish flavour, but much less hoppy than the nose. I detect a lot of restsweetness, and the bitterness in the taste also has a more burnt malt character. Very highly carbonated, medium bodied. Dry. Bit harsh, herbal bitterness (not hoppy) in the aftertaste. Mmmyeahh... I’m used to better from this brewery. The search for bitterness is there, but not the hops I would like to taste.

Yeasty and fruity aroma. Hazy, brown-orange coloured with a lasting, thick, creamy, off-white head. Taste is sweet, malty, fruity and more hopbitter towards the end. Dry brew. Quite decent. I agree with Ol_Juntan on the IPA style approach.

Hazy dark apricot with a large pale apricot coloured very fine bubbled lasting rocky island head that produces some real pretty lace. Aroma is faint thin aromatic hops and lightly yeasty become fruitier as it warms. Medium to light bodied. Short lasting lightly fruity sweet start which is quickly swamped by quite high hoppy, approaching an IPA style, bitterness with hints of barnyard yeast, celeriac and butterscotch. Finish is low sweetness, dry and clean. Rated at Sas 7, in Geel Belgium, 5 July 2003.
