| A Belgian Strong Ale brewed by Nebraska Brewing Company Papillion, Nebraska USA
| |
Sledge Jr (2708), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 7, 2008 On tap at the Crescent Moon. This pours a bright golden yellow with a medium crisp white head that dies fairly quickly. Strong candy and bubble gum aroma. The flavor is knock you over sweet. Very thick palate. You can almost slice this beer. This is a close variation of the Jobber’s Canyon version that Brewer Dean made in the old days with a few distinct differences. Primarily, I’m told that the batch used 150 pounds of Belgian candy in this. This contributed to the long fermentation and resulting large ABV. A delicious beer for those of us who like ’em HUGE.
