2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy auburn with one finger of tan head. Aroma is a bit nutty, earthy and a little skunky. Taste is malty and nutty but seems a bit more like a Scottish ale at first. Finish is skunky and lightly bitter. Oily palate.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; dark chestnut brown pour with a frothy tan head, aroma has nutty action along with some sweet bread, taste has sweet caramel, some honey roasted nuts, a bit messy.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours deep amber brown with a nice ivory head. Lacing is present throughout the duration of the drink. Aroma is muted roasted nuts, mild coffee, hints of chocolate, toffee and caramel. Taste is likewise muted; maybe this would have been better served with a higher alcohol content? At any rate, mild nuttiness, some sweetness with a bit of coffee/chocolate flavor. It’s not bad; there’s just nothing to separate it from any standard brown ale either. Overall just very meh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured an orange-brown color with a huge creamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dark fruits, toasty malts and toffee. The flavor was toasty, nutty, sour caramel, dark fruits, toffee and a hint of tobacco. Medium length finish. Medium body. Well done.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A rusty colored beer with a small white head. Smell is nutty.. taste is malty with some carmel. A fairly decent brown ale. Worth another try, but not the best.
