On tap in a shaker at the Downtown Hilton. Nice copper color with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Not much aroma to speak of but a little grass and malt. Taste is a good mix of lemon, pepper, grass, pine, and malt. Aftertaste hangs on for a little while. Lively carbonation and a nice medium body. An excellent, balanced, and drinkable IPA.

Cardinal Pale Ale has a thick, spongy, bone-colored head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, and lots of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of floral and citrus and white bread, and the flavor is of those pleasant elements, with mild hop oil bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit grainy, and Cardinal Pale Ale finishes dry and mellow. RJT
