3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Brickhouse BBQ Beer Spot Great Taste pre-party. Hazy apricot with a thin off-white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, fruit, mild sugar and citrus. Taste of apricot, orange, citrus, fruity yeast and alcohol. Full bodied and moderately bitter, not bad for a Belgian IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy medium yellow with thin white head.
Aroma is definitely tilted towards the Belgian, with light candi sugars, bready, light fruits and a low-medium hop aroma.
Hops come through much more in the flavor and bitterness. Lots of light fruits and breadiness. Creamy mouthfeel, maybe some wheat?
Overall, very nice, maybe would like to see more IPA than Belgian.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Brickhouse BBQ - Pours amber with next to no head. Tons of apricot on the nose, with fruity hops and sweet malt. Has some floral hops that lighten the whole thing up. Taste is lots of sweet malt, honey, apricot, grassy hops, with a real sweet finish. Not bad, but it would have been nice if I stuck around long enough to try the barreled version of this.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Brickhouse in Madison, WI. Poured a clean and clear golden yellow. I was under the impression that it was an IPA, but was pleasantly surprised with the somewhat-spiced backbone. Very crisp all-around. I liked it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft on tap at Brickhouse (Madison, WI). Pours a well hazed dulled golden pour, a touch of darker amber. Decent loose whitish head sits atop, laces ok. Aromas are a healthy floral and earthy hopping, touches of citrusy lemon, faint clamour of grapefruit. Touches of bread and toffee. A faint touch of yeasty spice. Initial is medium bodied, good healthy hopping with grapefruit, white grape, and lemon. Some florals, grass, toffee, biscuits, and bread. Into the middle shows dry florals, grass, and lingering citrus. Some bread, dry soapy finish. Ok. Fruity Belgian yeast and esters come full circle. Ok Belgian hoppy beer, not too overbearing malt profile and a healthy but not dominant hopping. Solid, but just not a style I get into much.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at GTMW 2011, poursa clear orange with a decent amount of fruit, aroma is of citrus and pine, the flavor is pretty boring actually with some hops coming through, meh.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It is definitely a Belgian IPA that hinges on the yeasty spice and esters rather than the hops.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Muted banana and floral aroma thatís a bit disappointing. Sweet banana flavor with graininess and a touch of citrus. Compared to the BA version, Iím disappointed.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Tap] Pours a hazy golden color with a thin head. Nose is of tropical fruits, heavy wet hops and alcohol mixed in with yeast esters. Sweet taste includes lots of sugar and sweet roll notes blended somewhat haphazardly with a harsh hop bitterness. Oily texture. The alcohol content makes itself known in the finish. Call me a party pooper, but I am just not a huge fan of Belgian IPAs.

Tried at Savor 2011. Based on my notes, the beer had a nice dark orange appearance and was very well balanced between hop and malt. Wish I could get Nebraska beers around DC.
