An artful interpretation of a Belgian-style Saison created with Apricot Puree and Black Pepper. Aged for 6 months in third-use French Oak Chardonnay barrels.Delicate flavors and aromas of oak, apricot, chardonnay, and pepper intertwined in the barrel to achieve a flavor profile that is simultaneously complex and delightful.

Lightly hazed yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is funky yeast , taste is apricot fruit with some Chardonnay notes and a nice light finish. Pretty damn tasty.

Really nice saison. The apricot is quite strong and makes this read like more of a fruit beer then a saison. The rustic farmhouse characteristics are there with some dirty yeast, pepper, and wine barrel. Really nice lactic tartness on the back end. Nice beer.

Un nez rustique mais gras, vineux et fruité. Le liquide est hyper effervescent et demande un peu de temps pour perdre sa vigueur. L’abricot et le poivre se complètent bien, saison rafraîchissante, simple et équilibrée.

Thanks to erzengel for sharing! Pours a golden yellow with a hint of haze and a big fluffy white head. The smell is a little funk, yeast, spice, fruit. The taste is dry, a bit of funk, yeast, apricot, a bit of the white wine comes through ending dry and slightly woody. Light+ body with active carbonation. Pretty nice.

750 mL bottle from Nikki’s, Providence. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of big funk, pepper, yeast, dry apricot, wine finish. The taste is tart, dry apricot, tannic wine notes, apple, yeast, mild pepper finish. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mild lingering spice. Nice beer.

Big bottle, pale hazy orange with minimal lacing. Funky Brett like aromas. Mildly tart and lightly acidic. Dry sour fruits, apricots and white grapes. The dryness continues along with the vinous flavors, now with some spiceyness into the background. Pricey but good.

Many thanks to StefanDS for this great brew!
Fruity-funky in the nose, Hazy orange with a thick white head in the glass. The beer starts fruity, horse-blanket farmhouse-style typical. The mainpart is a bit yeasty-funky, fruity. Hints of wood. The apricot is there in the background, but the pepper is not tastable. Probably somewhere in the funkiness and sour hints in the end. The aftertaste is long, fruity-sourish, yeasty, spicy.
Very interesting brew and very close to a real Belgian Farmhouse-Ale! --> 12/12/11/12

bottle. semi sweet twangy dried apricot. musty sweet white grape. a bit of toasted boozed kissed malt likka grape drank. but in a really nice way. lingering peachy apricot dry earthy herbal dough note. not my favorite use of apricots. thought this might have potential, as i’ve liked fantasia, pechish woods and some other modern peachy beers. but this was a touch too much fruit sweetness. would have liked this completed by more yogurt acidity, or something. just a bit too much big doughy sweetness. but i guess im more of a dry grassy rustic sayin kinda fella. good.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy orange with a large, frothy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is apricot, earthy and herbal hops with spicy wheat malt, black pepper, ginger, pear and apple esters, and light Chardonnay notes. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, lightly tart apricot, crisp and earthy wheat malt, fruity esters and spices with a dry vinous finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

750 mL bottle from the brewery crushed with TheRon. Pours a hazy orange with a white head that disappears, not surprisingly. Stings the nostrils initially. Tart, fruity, spritzy nose. Flavor is tart, fruity, nice dry finish. Very pleased.
