3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing Ari! Aroma gives a floral, almost soapy fruit and spice flow. Softer, subtler presentation on the palate. A light tang, followed by some piquant spice. I appreciate the restraint, with spices, fruit, and base marrying well without too much screaming from one element. Intertwined is a good idea.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle, big thanks to voodoofish65usf for sharing. Golden orange color. White particles in the body. Thin off-white head, some short ropes of lace. Awesome apricot, mildly peppery nose. Moderate sweet taste, light tart. Light spicy herbalness, good pepper and belgian yeast profile. Pretty nice stuff. Pepper seems to balance out the sweetness. Good balanced stuff.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared at Dave’s Bachelor Party, 9/27/14. Thanks to whoever shared this.
I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. The fruity flavors and the barrel aging worked extremely well together. I found the aroma to be the standout component. Really quite an excellent brew.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy copper color with a pillowy white head. The nose starts off with the oaky chardonnay notes and transitions to dried apricot and a touch of pepper. The barrel character shares even space with the yeast and fruit notes on the palate. Nice interplay of flavors here. Light and soft on the tongue with just enough dryness on the back end. A rather tasty beverage.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
First of all, props to Nebraska Brewing for making an extremely sexy Farmhouse Ale. Even by high Saison standards, Apricot Au Poivre is drop-dead bodacious. Aroma is yeasty and fruity - no big surprise there but it’s quite good. Yeast really owns the flavor here. It’s sour (lemon and vinegar sensations), a touch spicy, fruity, and earthy. I like the use of apricot here, it creates a uniquely citrusy flavor and helps to mellow the big yeasty tastes. While I’ve had heavily yeast-focused beers that I’ve liked more (Belgian brews and Boulevard’s Tank 7), Apricot Au Poivre is undoubtedly among the best of Nebraska’s beers - I mean the state as a whole, not just the brewery. The name can make things confusing.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A- Funk, apricots, peaches, chlorine, white wine.
A- Orange color, cloudy body, white head.
T- Funky, brett, white wine, subtle woodiness, apricots.
P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, funky finish.
O- My 500th rating. Had to make it a local Nebraska brew and one of the best beers from Nebraska according to statistics. I was excited to pop this one open and get to drinking. Overall, it left me pleased but not overly excited. The pepper and spice was so subtle it was hardly noticeable. Nothing other than the funk and some apricot flavor stood out. Just didn’t live up to the expectations I had, especially for over $20 a bomber. I’d still like to try the Black Betty though.

Bottle, shared with Ferris and Parksy. Very hazy orange-kissed gold with some fine particles toward the end. Nice head retention. Lightly funky, notes of hay and apricot, with lovely wood and peppercorn notes in the finish. Elegant and interesting.

Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy golden hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is straw, lactic, apricot, peppercorn, funk. Mouthfeel is great with a medium light body and sharp carbonation. Taste is dry throughout with a nice tannic finish. Overall this is a good brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 750 ml bottle.
Aroma is rather fruity with some nice apricot character. Light notes of other stone fruit notes as well as some grain character.
Pours a hazy, pale, golden orange with a small, thick white head that exhibits nice retention. Moderate lacing and medium sized legs.
Flavor has some light grain notes with medium light apricot character. Light bitterness with a drying finish. Hints of other stone fruit and medium light phenolic character.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a rather nice beer but the flavor lacks the complexity and slightly citrus character that I prefer in most fruit saisons. A touch on the harsh and astringent side overall.
